That is some serious inventory….What we wound up doing after the 5 th buffer started growling and grinding is keep it and not get fixed….they were going to take the buffer for perhaps a month or more…..yuck! so it still make a slightly obnoxious noise and if it dies..Dan has mine to work with…then I will get the other fixed….maybe, or bring it to you Brian and let you do your magic troubleshooting and “git er done'”
Be cool brother and have a great 2011….
pachecoParticipantWell, if my wife was “help”, I would totally agree. She owns the franchise and has from the beginning.
But, you are right…
pachecoParticipantMichael,
Thanks for your thought…all were fine and no injury. We are getting more than we had hoped from the insurance company…..big blessing. No more van driving for JoAnn…..
Dave
pachecoParticipantWell, I am going to have to withdraw the van…my other van, a 2004 Ford Econoline was totaled the other day by my wife, the franchise owner. So we are keeping the above van and ensure that she does not drive it…lol..
Happy New Year!!!!
pachecoParticipantBrian, We bought a Kenmore front loader, HE4T and we usually put in 7-9 pads/load. I use 1/3 cup phosphate (TSPP) (EBay, Arkie Annie) I believe and 1/4 – 1/3 cup bleach (BJ’s)
We have had our machine now for about 5 1/2 years, and it has an issue with staples or much of anything hard going thru the discharge pump. Been replaced 4-5 times and just a few months ago the motor bearings went and virtually the entire machine had to be rebuilt….believe it or not, about 3 months earlier we had bought an extended warranty for a year at $120…or thereabouts…. I think that too many do not take advantage of those pesky little up charges for warranties. In this case I am very glad we did…and again and again.
It does a great job on whitest whites, 1 hr25 min and done.
Would I recommend the Kenmore…..? If you have the extended warranty they fix them very well….(I do pull the filter every few weeks and remove debris as well as check pads before placing in washer)..may have upgraded the discharge pump by now. If they did, I would recommend you go see.
Hope this helps with another log on the fire.
Merry Christmas
DavepachecoParticipantThanks Dave… Unfortunately, with Parkinson’s one does not get better…the best hope and prayer for my condition is that it progresses.very, very s..l…o…w…l…y. The meds work fine, except for that blasted right foot..it likes to stick to the ground or floor and I have tripped over it many times…kind of funny to watch I am sure. Must look as if I am drunk and staggering. Just did it about an hour ago at the store…
I will keep you posted on the heater….I plan to photograph and videotape the different stages.
Dave
pachecoParticipantDave,
Thanks for remembering…I have had a monster health issue since that post and have the materials to make the heaters for the home, not the hot water materials….I want to cut my teeth on the one, prove it works, for heating the house with auxiliary solar. I am going to have this begun shortly.
When I get the heater up and going I will pass it along.
Dave
pachecoParticipantTotal;y agree…however, in PA, in the north, where the winters are still chilly and no amount of quarries around here like Indiana or Vermont, etc…t & g is not huge yet, but is growing. I predict that people will still prefer area rugs or carpeting to cold feet in the morning.
At $1 or so a sq ft it would take a lot of foyer, halls and family rooms to get me to purchase and transport and unload and clean and go through the rigamarole (sp) to clean a 8×10 foyer…vs the brush with FAE and cleaner….it does do a pretty good job here on 90% of the t & g……
It would work well for commercial…as for repairs etc, that would mean setting up another business entity for me and not going to happen…sounds good though.
Have a great year…
DAve
pachecoParticipantI have no idea where it is…sorry
pachecoParticipantRick,
Perfect analogy..thanks.
pachecoParticipantVery, very nice. Very impressive…still have one someplace from my son and then mine is someplace from 1961… Very well done.
Good advertising and thanks for sharing.Dave
pachecoParticipantAt our state mtg it did a good job but looked like a huge pita….it would take a lot for us to go there….
pachecoParticipantOurs, I believe, are made from styrofoam or a close relative with a 1/2 life of some 500-1,000 years in a landfill…I believe you are right though …if memory serves, they biodegradable ones are made of corn starch and dissolve almost instantly when hit with water. Taste is neutral and I flushed a whole box of them down the toilet in three flushes.
Hey, even the air filled bubble wrap is better, at least the space in the landfill is less.
If I am in error, I am sorry…
pachecoParticipantsame here and it is white and getting cold….
pachecoParticipantI mix mine at home just before leaving if within a 15-20 minute drive to allow for the activation to occur…otherwise, I use their tap water warm not hot!!! about 105 degrees per John…I now know how warm/hot that is by feel…
I have heated up 101 product on site in a microwave in a hand sprayer before to get some tough areas and it does work better…be careful and do not do if you have no isea what or why you are doing it…
