hbottumwaParticipant
Funeral arrangements have not been made yet. Out of respect, please don’t call and ask family members. Someone will post details here.
hbottumwaParticipantSorry. Computer talk is a foreign language to me…
hbottumwaParticipantSteve & Lori, I had to order the service through the “HB Store” and then EZ Net tools called me to set up the details.
hbottumwaParticipantI understand there are two separate brushes used with the pile brush (or pile lifter). One is nylon and the other is a “vegetable” brush used for delicate fibers. I understand they are not easily changeable and that the nylon brush is more durable. I don’t know any Heaven’s Best operators who have the vegetable brush.
I have made the purchase of a pile brush for each of my areas. They work great!
If the fibers are delegate, I would say no. If not delegate, I would use caution.hbottumwaParticipantI’m glad to hear this. Honestly, I hesitated to bring it up because we don’t like to look at the (possible) negative side being in business. The things like “You have a better chance of being hit by lightning” situations but sometimes needs to be thought of. Dave Ramsey in his Book Entre-Leadership, Dave says “Okay, no one will die from this. So, what is the worst thing that can happen? And make your decisions based upon the benefits of the goal and the worst thing that can go wrong.” Frankly, I have a hard time thinking like a criminal and thinking of bad scenarios.
Good job! AKCleaner, thanks for the info.hbottumwaParticipantThanks, So roughly $1200. What added security measures are you taking? Are things very visible from outside the van? Is this listed in your van “equipment” on your insurance? Will the customers information be at risk if PC stolen? I understand these are precautionary issues but I think need to be considered not only in this case but even PC’s at home. Look at what happened to sales in Target stores. (down 35%)
hbottumwaParticipantSounds Great! What was the combine investment cost?
hbottumwaParticipantOn another tread I commented that I really like ez net tools website for me. I have had it about a year. It is responsible for half my appointments. I have flyers, business card specials, property management, and past customers. I ask. That’s how I know. To see my website, go to Google, type in: Carpet Cleaning Pendleton, OR It’s not 100% perfect but it is the top listing, I am completely satisfied. It is ten times the return as yellow pages or newspaper and at a better price. I would strongly recommend it.
If you have kept your evaluation card comments and continue to get comments, it will propel it to the top much faster.hbottumwaParticipantIn my newer area. Advertising: ez net tools website. I have flyers (put in detailed auto’s) (Just started), business cards- $99 3 rooms special (up to 400 sq ft.) described cleaning process on the back of card, a good pair of shoes, property management, and past customers. No yellow pages. The website is returning me half my business. It’s $150 a month. In Pendleton, Oregon it’s the best return I’ve seen.
hbottumwaParticipantIt might sound like a dumb question but share with us where you’re planning on going with this?
hbottumwaParticipantAwesome!
hbottumwaParticipantI’ve found most carpet warranties are left up to the local retailer. If your a good customer, community leader, prestigious etc, they will do more for you. If not they just say “Sorry” and at best discount you a new carpet (Above their cost no dought). Most carpet “warranties are not worth the paper it is written on”. The fine print states the exclusions… not covered in used areas, spill areas etc. Basically under the couch if there hasn’t been a spill. Unless of course it’s an unlimited warranty like Tandus carpets. (25-30 years) rare. Educating the customer is the key.
hbottumwaParticipantThanks Ron
hbottumwaParticipantAfter thought.
What are your goals for 2014?
What are your plans of how to achieve these goals?hbottumwaParticipantI’ve started making Oregon operator visits this year already. I asked these questions…
1. What do you like most about Heaven’s Best?
2. What do you feel you struggle the most with?
3. Do you fill you made the right choice to buy Heaven’s Best? One operator said “I don’t know. Since we (he and his wife) have joined Heaven’s Best, we have had two more children…” We laughed, I went to the next question.
4. How can I do better as your State Owner?
5. What can Heaven’s Best do better at? I did this as a pretty open ended question for a reason. One focused on himself, the other on corporate. Interestingly, both were about getting better informed and trained with newer products and newer services offered.
6. Are you using any products that are not “Heaven’s Best”?
7. Do you have any concerns with Heaven’s Best?
Again stated they’re a good operator, glad to have them in the business…
Cleaned with them.
Pictures taken of van inside and out.Would love to have a better list.
