schubertParticipant
all great ideas, thanx .My employee worked over the Memorial Day weekend ,he was happy to do that and wanted the hours. He made me some good $$ he made good$$ too. i gave him a cash bonus for his hard work . He was very grateful. I am grateful for him!! Remember to give the guys that do you a good job a little extra once in a while. It will definately pay off !
schubertParticipanti too love the woven turf pads . they “hold” a lot of moisture and soil . i feel like they hold much more than any other pad that HB carries!
schubertParticipantacid rinse works good on water damaged areas too. It can help remove the “water ring”or “brown out” and help release minerals in the fibers.
schubertParticipanti have found quick boost to work great on polyester carpet. I use 2 to 4 oz per 2 1/2 gallon . i hate cleaning polyester, most are a light color and have bad traffic lanes, that look grey . quick boost can help to make that look better. This needs to be a pre inspection discussion with the client , i mean realistic expectations for the high traffic areas.Good Luck!!!
schubertParticipantI would love to see the home office Re – look at this issue of having more info on the labeles of our products. Last week i started to fill the protectant sprayer with wax and shine! oops It would be nice to have the directions and uses for situations on the bottles. I am in this buisness over 20 years and i dont have it all memorized yet,let alone my employees
schubertParticipantI feel like we all have a pretty good idea by now how to clean carpet. We need to always brush up on that no doubt! but our pricing needs to reflect how good of job we do too! if we have a cheep price does that reflect cheap cleaning? What is in the mind of the client you are targeting? Remember we are business men and women we have to cover costs and make a profit!! Whats your business like now ? the best its ever been or struggling? its always time to re-evaluate and do what works
schubertParticipantThere is no doubt that raising your price is scary ! But to me its even more scary to lower your price!!!! You have the right to create your own future in this business! Don’t work yourself to death for not enough compensation. If you don’t charge enough you will be out of business !Thats the cold hard fact of running any business,if you cant pay your bills then your done. I would encourage anyone who is struggling with this delema to seek the imput from our great owners and our Master,Cody .It is a good idea to alwaws know what the competition is charging ,but more important on what they do for that price.
schubertParticipantI have downsized on the remaining books that i am in ! We are having Michael start to put together our mini site . This year will help give me the info i need to make further cuts next year
schubertParticipanti guess i’m a little old school! i still like woven turf pads , but my tec does like them on low nap or berber. i guess we need to do a little test in this area with our soil conditions
schubertParticipantLove the idea of putting words into their mouth! they always ask what you want on it anyway. always learning from the master, thanx cody
schubertParticipantDoes anyone send out their employee on a slow day to drum up work? flyers or commercial accounts or just knocking on doors?
schubertParticipantWe do more cleaning than sealing for sure. we have got up to a buck to clean in the past but now we are aroud .75 . whats the best , and easiest way you are applying sealer? we use the grout stick seems to go on pretty good
schubertParticipantits good to see that some of you have the [guts] to get rid of the yellow pages!!!good for you i havent got there yet but i cant wait!!! 😀
schubertParticipantnothing beats word of mouth, but in these times it wouldent hurt trying a different approach
schubertParticipanthey Greg I think the work that your doing to promote Heaven’s Best is great !!! Every little bit helps. I would love to see my compitition’s face 👿 when he see’s us it the national mags. 😆
