And you aren’t getting any streaking? I know the glass looked pretty good until the light hit it at a different angle. Then I saw all these streaks.

I understand that you aren’t supposed to use “Hot” water, but warm water.

How does the Coffee remover make it possible to do without the extraction? If you have a spilled pot of coffee, there is still coffee in the pad. I was under the impression that the CR just helped remove the stain that wouldn’t come out with Pro Spot.

Actually there are some places that make specialty hoses, if for some reason you are haveing trouble with your hoses and you don’t know the cause. My wife actually works for a business that makes hoses and I do have a few suped up hoses on some of my equipment including a stainless steal braided hose on my upholstery mate and some extra heavy duty hoses on my Ninja. However, I do get them for a huge discount. I don’t know what the actual cost would be. As I said before, I haven’t had any trouble with the smaller hoses but I’m sure if you find it cost effective, you can have some made that are more durable.

I guess I’ll have to give big John a call since I haven’t received any other responses.

But everyone is talking about how absorbent they are! So what is the answer? And what are they good for if they don’t absorb as much as the other pads?

I am finding the micro fiber pads to be way less durable than the other pads. With the other pads, I have accidently hit a protuding object and the pad survived without hardly a noticeable deffect. I have several micro fiber pads that have tears in them. I’m not even sure what happened. It might have happened with one of my techs, but it is something that never happened with the other pads. They do seem to grip like was mentioned but I’m not convinced they absorb more moisture than the other pads. Has anyone tried a scientific experiment with the pads?

Because I’m too lazy to do the figureing, do you know how many ounces are in the scoop that comes in the FAE?

I haven’t had a hose split in the 8 1/2 years I’ve been in the business. I really doubt it is the citrus boost.

Haven’t had any fringe to clean lately but can’t wait to try the coffee remover on it to see how it works.

Yes I have been using micro fiber cloth. I notice the streaks mostly on glass or chrome. On the stove, did it remove grease?

in reply to: Carpet Protector – What’s it best for? #152262

Had a customer call because her child had done his business on the carpet. We cleaned it about a month ago and had applied fabric protector. Well, I couldn’t get the stain out. In fact here is a question for all of you. I got the brown out but what was left was red! I thought for sure red dye remover would finish the job but was mistaken. I’ve never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else had and if there was something that would work on this type of red stain. Of course this is on berber carpet. There were a few other spots that came right out. The ones that didn’t come out had been treated with our HB spotter solution. The ones that came out had not been treated with anything. The spots that didn’t come out were the first ones and the largest. Any help would be appreciated. I will also post this in another section since this doesn’t have much to do with the fabric protector. But back to the protector, I was very disappointed that it didn’t work again.

I also use this same extraction followed by regular cleaning on severly dirty carpets. Especially comercial type carpet with heavy traffic soiling. I cleaned an Car dealership with filthy carpet. This process was the only way to get it done right. The wicking is prevented by getting it dry with the bonnet cleaning. It is a lot of work but the results are amazing for these types of jobs. Portable Extract is a great product. The Ninja with the in line heater had paid for itself over and over.

I use quite a bit of Portable Extract. I use it in my Ninja. I mix it with hot water, then use the in line heater of the Ninja. I clean RV’s for a company that rents them to the oil field and when they come back in they are just filled with an extreme amount of dirt that I have no way to vacuumm out with the Hoover. Well, I might me able to, but the inner paper bag literally pops open and I could spend hours trying to get the dirt out dry. The other problem is that the dirt has often been wet or was mud when it got into the carpet. I started using the extractor with Portable Extract on these carpets followed by our regular cleaning solution and bonnet process. The carpets come out looking fantastic. I charge extra for this process of course.
