Tim nemethParticipantdo you charge perma plate extra for red dye removel treatments, coffee removel, fresh scent, pet enzyme treatments?
Tim nemethParticipantWe”re doing a perma plate job tomorrow for a spot on the passanger front seat the customer called me earlier today & said that they spilled something on the driver seat as well, thair question to me was should they report the new stain to perma plate, they said it was not that bad a stain. Has anybody run into thes situation before with perma plate?
thanks jim wilson
Tim nemethParticipantGood luck with it. In the long run you”ll build your customer base doing this type of thing,a friend will tell a friend etc.
Tim nemethParticipantOne other thing i forgot to mention, they e-mail you a roster of people that bought the deals so it’s pretty easy to keep track
Tim nemethParticipantOverall it was awesome, we are planning to do it again the beginning of next year, the quality of the customers are middle to highend, most of living social & groupon buyers are collage grads & their median income is 75,000 per year or higher, this information was provided to me by there sales staff, when you speak to the sales person they guide you as to what has worked in the past in a market similar to yours. There were 5 people that is all they wanted was the basic deal but we were able to leave them an info packet with the other services we offer, based on the results from the cleaning of their carpet we should hear from them for our other services,we did get call backs from some of the other people we up sold. I tile & grout job about 600 sq. ft. another one was 2 bathrooms of tile thats all so far, i always asked when they called us are you interested in having additional areas cleaned some said yes, some said maybe, some said no. In my market going low on the deal was the key for me to being able to upsell like i did.if I ever did meet an eskimo in florida it probably would not be hard to sell them ice here…hahaha. On some of these people even after they said no I left them the multi service sheet with the info packet & while we were doing our thing we were able to upsell them. The deal lasts on the living social web-site for 24 hours, 10 buisness days after the deal closes you get a check directly from living social. They do not get a dime from your upsells.
Nobody was more suprised then me with the amount of the upsells we were able to get, it just clicked for us. They had one other carpet cleaner since our deal with living social & he did not sell half as many deals as us. 2/3rds of the people that bought our deal mentioned the quick dry time. After living social gives you there input you have the final say, there are some things they try to grt you to do like a 6 month coupon i told them no. Groupon is harder to work with they will not be as flexible as living social, groupon will say their bigger then living social they are, but not by much, thats their comment when you ask them to match the deal you have with living social. I hope i answered all your questions Dave Devlin if not call me my number is 904.786.1954Tim nemethParticipantWe tried livingsocial.com about 8 months ago had a great response, sold thirtey deals we offered upto 300 sq. ft fabric protector included for 67.50, normally 168.00. We up sold 25 deals to an average ticket of between 250.00 to 400.00 not including the 67.50 deal we sold thru living social. The way they work it is 70/30 with you getting the 70% & they pay all credit card trasaction fees. Groupon is 50/50 and you pay all transaction fees, groupon will wiggle a little but not much, they won’t budge on the 50/50 but will assume some of the transaction fees but not much, another thing is the length of the coupon, we offered for 4 months, you probably don’t want to go any longer then that. groupon wanted us to offer a 6 month coupon.
Tim nemethParticipantI use the ez sliders your talking about there awesome,
Tim nemethParticipantHow much extra does anyone charge to move furniture off tile floor. Stanley & sears charge .80 per sq. ft. to clean & seal, and a seperate charge to move furniture anywhere fro 25.00 to 200.00. We charge 1.00 a sq. ft to clean & seal, including furniture moving.
Tim nemethParticipantThe people that buy from livingsocial & groupon are our target market. The whole key to this is upselling them to our other services we offer. Happy selling.
Tim nemethParticipantI forgot to mention the median income for most people that buy the livingsocial.com & the groupon.com deals are 75,000.00 per year & 4 year collage grads.
Tim nemethParticipantI’ll keep ypu posted as I get more info.
Jim WilsonTim nemethParticipantHi Greg,
Ron Smith our state owner is having a one day seminer on how to get commerical accounts, your suggestions and comments would be greatly appricated. We really enjoyed you stopping at our seminer in orlando a couple years ago, we learned some good stuff from you & Laura that day. Thanks again.
Jim WilsonTim nemethParticipantThank you for the timely response Greg, sorry about the crappy message I sent you the other day, I was rushing out the door when I wrote it. I really felt encouraged by your response to my question about getting to the top of the first page, you make it sound like it’s pretty easy to do. I’ll call you within the next couple of days to get your guidence on getting this done. Again, thank you very very much for being so kind.
Jim WilsonTim nemethParticipantGreg Lucas how do I improve our organic ranking to get higher up on the first page. When i type in carpet cleaners jacksonville florida we are on the bottom of the first page. Their is web a service in jacksonville that has been trying to get me to use their services, he called me the other day & said he got me on the first page sure enough he got me from page 5 to page 1 and he if I wanted to stay on the first page he could do that for me, but I cannot afford to pay his fee. Could you explain to me how again how i could do this. Thank you very much for the time you guys have taken in the past to help us with this. Also thank you to Greg Miller.
