I wonder if you could retire any earlier by taking 3 cups out? or 4?

Just kidding….Cody most likely felt like he just passed a kidney stone when he read this title…

    Still LMBO…

    Brian,

Not that I would expect any great results with likely inorganics, but did you try any FAE at all…mixed properly? Hit with HSC and extracted?

    Just a thought…

    Ron,

I wish that te home office could obtain some photos of situations as you describe and without any HWE bashing, just post the photos of problems…a picture is worth a thousand words.

I also like the groove along some baseboards where the wand has left its marks from rubbing against the baseboard, damaging it…sometimes it is really graphic.

And in our litigious society, we should be concerned about how we use the chemicals we are using if not for our own health, for the health of others, as Cody had stressed in LV.

Just a thought or two on the subject…not intended to scare anyone at all. All of our chemicals, as mentioned in a previous post can be used safely, if properly stored, handled and used according to Cody and the MSDS.

    Brian,

I believe she was very smart to avoid protector with the baby… Please read the recent posting about Kawasaki’s Disease and some of the attachments….here is one for consideration.

    http://www.checnet.org/healthehouse/education/articles-detail.asp?main_id=442

In LV, Cody warned very clearly that the use of protector should be done in a well ventilated area. I heard that loud and clear. Any short-term gain can easily be totally obliterated by just one little…young or old, person having a sensitivity to the protector or one of its mystery chemicals components.

Just my thoughts, or rather the thoughts of Cody and the scientific community at large. Any of the chemicals we are applying to the carpets carry some risk…101 extremely low….but protector and some of the solvents are higher.

Being a leukemia survivor for 12 years, having a scientific background and actually reading and understanding 99.9% of what is included in the MSDS provided by Cody, makes me naturally cautious with the use of a few of the HB chemicals.

Just my 2 cents worth of thought…and experience…

    Evan,

You might consider postcards. They are inexpensive to mfg, send or leave with neighbors. We have done 2 now and they paid for themselves almost immediately and then kept on paying. We are just going to go to the printer with a card for us to leave at the three homes across the street and the houses on either side of our customer…no pricing at all..just introduction of us and our services. We have received numerous positive comments on their creativity…and only 2 average jobs pays for the 5,000 we are going to purchase.

Just a thought for you to consider. Wish you the very best.

Thanks Dennis…I will be more reserved in posting since getting zapped by someone. I had no idea that we could edit our message after submission. So, someone edited their submission I had responded to and they changed their submission, after I had responded, to make me look like an even greater idiot than I already am. I was fortunate in that I was able to edit my response quickly, to protect the integrity and sense of the session.

Jason was kind enough to adjust the timer down to 10 minutes time or so to edit one’s response after submission…still stymies me that a response can be edited after review and submission. Oh well.

    Mike,

Thanks for the info…I won’t attend.

Edge vac, then spray HB Hard Surface Cleaner lightly, doing a manageable block at a time. Then use the nylon brush attachment used for T&G for the Nobles, and then buff as normal.

    ASIDE*******************************
(Never used enzymes on linoleum or tile, either vct/act, but cannot envision any negative potential at all, except to goop and gap that doesn’t clean.)

The only problems we have encountered are related to wear of the flooring that is beyond our control.
    **************************************
After the area is done, then use the squeegee w/ wand attachment provided by corporate with either the Ninja or Upholstery Mate. Extract in 3′-4′ strokes. Under cabinets and in corners and tight areas we use the Oreck with a bristle brush attachment…also use this for touch up.

Spray the next area and do the same…EASY!!!!!!!! Dry almost immediately and charge as carpet.

The results beat anything that can be done by hand and customer’s love the value added. Also great for final cleaning when homes are being listed. Apartments are good as well.

By offering this, apartments that have linoleum and/or tile can generate another little stream of income.

Hope this helps. If it is not clear, please call, as I am not making any other responses in here until the edit key is removed or disabled. 717-898-6340

We see the holes you speak of on a pretty regular basis. We use the HS cleaner, nylon brush on the Nobles and then extract the matrix with the squeegee/wand attachment…very, very infrequently do the black spots in the holes remain.

We use the Oreck with the brush attachment as well for baths, tight areas and under cabinets, and anything remaining to touch up.

Of course, we use the FAE…about 75% of the time on t&g and vinyl/linoleum jobs.

Hope this is helpful to someone. It works here in SE Pennsylvania.

lol…If I was going to do my first repair, I personally would be fully trained and have some practice under my belt before going to cut on a customer’s carpet…but that is just me.

I m not a terrific risk-taker and it takes a while for me to learn.

Practice builds confidence for me…and as I did say Evan, I wish you the best.
