Heated mixed…in a microwave. ot very hot really, more like warm..maybe 90 degrees or thereabouts.
pachecoParticipantDen,
I have cleaned several areas like that with white carpet and black line…hands and knees, Ninja, black line cleaner, spray, scrub, suck….6″-12″ at a time and repeat often….mostly comes out. May be a light gray here and there…but looks thousands of times better. Should blend in well with regular carpet cleaning.
At the end, you probably did not charge enough…whatever you charged.
Hope this helps.
Dave
pachecoParticipantfabric only here…
pachecoParticipantBrian,
Very, very astute grasshopper…
From day one, we have been using filtered water, through a carbon filter, and always soft water as we have a softener. BTW, I have a double major in biology and chemistry from IUPUI…for those from Indiana.
This is a good one for Cody to ponder… Every single cell in my skull says you are on to something. I have cut back to 1 cup since the last time someone suggested it and have seen no negative difference at all in cleaning.
Recently, I tried heating some chemical as well, and used in a terrible area at the Merry Maids office I clean and it did make a big difference… also worth noting.
So…what are some of the other thoughts on the subject(s).
We have been so accustomed to using such a small amount of detergent in our washer over the years, it never occurred to me.
Thanks so much for the thought Brian…great thinking.
Try some heated juice sometime as well.
Hope this helps a little.
Dave
P.S.-never saw naturally soft water…but I always get lots of suds if I add my chemical too soon…I always top off with it.
pachecoParticipantGood one…several years ago, I found that a local leather store could resew the outer edge with nylon thread…they work just fine for agitating the carpet and loosening soil/stuff in the carpet fibers. Anyway, for $3.00 a pad, they clean very nicely,
Really great to use on trashed carpeting,
Maybe this might help someone, or get their creative juices flowing,,,times may get tough.

pachecoParticipantSince I am cheap as well as lazy, we have 2 vans equipped with 12v compressors in our supplies…approx $20 each.
On a larger job, I do not like to go back and forth to the van for a recharge in bad weather or take the time, we have a battery booster with us and use that as the 12v power source in a home or building.
Also works to start dead cars/vans if the battery died. It works well for us. $50-$60 for the charger. can recharge on the fly or at home. We usually charge to 150 psi or so.
Hope this is useful…
Dave
pachecoParticipantebay, ebay, ebay..
I bought about about 60 or so for, I think, $20…one must be patient and wait for the right opportunity. It was a steal…..
Have not looked at them lately, since we still have a boatload of them left after 4 years of use.
Hope this helps.
dave
pachecoParticipantThanks Jamie…we only clean them to freshen them up after storage.
Great advice..
Dave
pachecoParticipantWe have a loveseat in our living room from a stupid act….not stupid really, just not taught to avoid at training class. Anyway, I bought a new one for an elderly couple as well.
Nothing else even close to teaching a great lesson as buying a piece of furniture for someone else and then living with the mistake and seeing it every day just to remind me. cuidado
I am very cautious since that simple error. I am not eager to purchase a $30k oriental, or $10k carpeting….or $5k leather sofa. Risk vs reward must always be measured.
Also, make sure you have insurance for the risk you are assuming…believe me, at time of claim, they will find an out if possible.
Hope this helps a little.
Dave
pachecoParticipantYou might develop a relationship with a janitorial house and in the event yours craps out again, they may loan or rent one cheap for you.
2 years ago, it took 4 buffers sent in before one acted even reasonably right..for my son’s buffer. Now it is rattling and shaking and I will be taking it to the shop next week…the price of the Nobles is way too high,,,and the tech I spoke with told me if there was any damage caused by abuse, that would void the warranty!
Anyone who has opened the box for the Nobles has to laugh…the abuse it takes getting it to me probably voided the warranty out of the box…lol…
Have a back up for everything…that’s my caution…it is very costly not to have a back up plan for equipment failure.
Hope this helps.
DavepachecoParticipantLast December I signed up with Samaritan Ministries and I pay a whopping $120 a month…before, with my wife’s policy at work, I was paying $600+/month. My back injuries and leukemia history are not good on the books.
Samaritan Ministries is a Christian-based health coverage system employing solid, Christian principles.
I love it and the monetary savings as well.

pachecoParticipantJohn..to learn more, call BIG BAD JOHN…. also, go to the search above and type in FAE and you will see a whole lot of info about the stuff…it works great, if used properly.
Hope this helps.
Dave
pachecoParticipantDave,
Along that same line, I do not answer any calls with no number listed or out of my area code, or any weird numbers or 800, 866 866 anything strange…I figure they want to sell me something and almost every time, they leave no message. And 99% of those that do, I do not call at all and mark their number.
Anyone that does not have a number listed, that wants do do business leaves a message and too bad if they don’t…for them.
Just my 2 cents on the subject…
Dave
pachecoParticipantAre you insured? I know that the insurance for this type of work is very, very expensive…due to the potential liability issues. Kinda goes along with the misapplication of protector thought…potential liability is extremely high.
Just something to consider.
Dave
pachecoParticipantI knew we could agree on something Brian…
since the logo changed, we have had the new logo on the left side with blue background and info on the right of a magnetic business card. Looks identical to a business card. BIC manufactures and they have a special every several months…My last purchase was for $160/thousand… excellent quality.
Vicki Forry @ Garden Spot Ribbons & Awards 888-834-6222.
She will know what you mean by the BIC special…yes, the pen people.
I almost always leave one on the fridge in a home or the filing cabinet in an office…
I will send a sample to those requesting…I have a thousand they goofed on and put a z instead of an s in my last name…got them free…they sent another thousand with the s for no charge.
Hope this helps someone.
