Sometimes I do but I have to admit not all the time. I don’t really get many referrels when I ask. That usually comes later on when they talk to their friends and neighbors. What I do is go to five houses around the area and give out business cards flyers etc… and let them know I was at their neighbors house.

We added on another carpet cleaning company that was going out of business a couple of years ago we bought their phone number and client list. I got a phone call a month later saying that we had ruined a customers wood floor. I said no way we don’t use that much water at all. I went to see sure enough the wood floor under their area rugs was rotted away black all the way down. The customer thought that we were the original steam cleaning company that we had purchased obviously I was glad we were not and that we do not steam clean.

90% of my business is customer referrals the phone book rots, coupons mailers stink, the internet…well…gotta love that. I get lots of referrals from happy customers I give out 10 gift cards or cash for repeaters.

I am looking for a good company that will email all of my customers each month or email to a certain demographic area for new customers. Any tips?

I just recently started advertising again on the internet and have received 5 job over the past 2 months. I only advertise on the google map section if I were to put out some money I would probably get more hits. so I am looking at doing that when I can budget it in better. I am still confused about the adwords deal on a regular website.

100 crunches in the morning followed by 50 squats. If you’r really feeling strong try bench pressing the buffer. Seriously, try to keep in physical shape to some extent this work can get tiring at the end of the day. Good Luck and God Speed…

I always just ask. I have several referrel letters that I have received over time and occasionally use them in trade shows. I blow up some and put them out on large backer boards. I try to build a relationship with my customers that way when I do ask I don’t feel awkward. I usually ask people that I have serviced at least twice. Referrel letters are great. I also have customers on call for referrals. If someone calls in and asks for a referrel I am ready to hand out a number or three.
