I HAVE FOUND THE UPHOLSTERY MATE TO WORK FAIR AT BEST WITH THE STAND UP WAND..JUST NEEDS MORE SUCTION….WITH THE UPHOLSTERY TOOL IT WORKS A LITTLE BETTER FOR SMALL AREAS…YOU REALLY NEED TO USE A HEATED UNIT WITH SOME REAL SUCTION POWER IF YOU WANT TO TRULY EXTRACT HEAVY TRAFFIC AREAS. PADDING JUST CAN’T DO IT (UNLESS YOU SPEND ALOT OF TIME ON IT.
I HAVE GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT I TELL BERBER CUSTOMERS IT WILL NEVER LOOK LIKE NEW AGAIN,AND I CHARGE 15% MORE FOR IT AS WELL. HATE BERBER ALWAYS WILL

Carpet cleaning is like any other work being performed…it is only as good as the person doing it..if you owned a HWE franchise you would be slamming the LMCC guys they both have their place in the market..heavily soiled ==HWE Lightly soiled ==LMCC I refer the Heavily soiled jobs to the HWE guys (2 Last wk). The pads are to pricey to ruin on the ugly jobs in my opinion..

If you don’t have the divider in your van get it !! One heavy braking and you will be sitting next to your buffer or maybe under it..
I put shelves over the wheel well area in my van,one on each side for pads..and a shelf forward of the wheel well on the drivers side with adj. shelves and small dividers for solution etc..You can over do it with shelves for sure..the internet is full of suppliers for that stuff..One other thing i did was make ramps for removing the buffer and Uph. mate etc.
HUGE HELP ON THE BACK!!!I use them on some porches as well…Remember you are only as good as your back…

A CHEAP BLOW DRYER WORKS GREAT FOR HEATING THE LOGOS…

I USED PAINT THINNER ( NOT REMOVER) FOR THE GLUE, SPRAY IT ON WITH OLD FABRIC PROT. SPRAYER AND LET IT STAND FOR A BIT…

I USED A NYLON SCOTCH BRIGHT TYPE PAD (I USE THE TYPE FOR AQUARIUM GLASS)TO REMOVE GLUE AFTER
THE THINNER HAD SAT FOR A BIT.

THEN I WASHED THE VAN…DONE DEAL

    Great Response Cody,

My logos are not perfect, the dry in one hr is totaly different for each side but i figure who can see both sides at the same time any way…or when your doing 65 mph down the road…? The main thing is I recieved them and am looking forward to having them installed. For the most part i am satisfied with the quality of the logos….now I will see what instalation brings…!

The sprayer you pressurise is not the best one out there, you need one that looks and works more professional. They have protector sprayers that are made just for protector…. the hand pump one HB has now is much better, holds more and you don’t have to haul around a pump or compressor or air tank….the fan spray pattern is the way to go…

You have to inspect and TEST leather like any other piece you attempt to clean…if it is old nasty dirty … it will change color …brown tends to be the worst .. i charge $200 for a 7 ft sofa…just be smart and don’t get in over your head…… On heavey soiled sofa i used a battery powered black and decker scrubber with a nylon scotch bright type pad …worked good…
they are alot of work…educate your customer on these type items…

    ANN,
WITH THE CHARGER PLUGGED IN, TRY TESTING FOR VOLTAGE AT THE MALE CONNECTION ON THE CHARGER.YOU CAN DO THIS WITH A METER AVAILABLE AT ANY HARDWARE STORE. (THE CONNECTORS ARE NOT THE GREATEST ON THE CHARGER OR SPRAYER)..REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE SPRAYER AND CHECK THE FEMALE SPRAYER CONNECTION FOR CONTINUITY. YOU MAY FIND THE MALE OR FEMALE CONNECTION TO BE BAD. ONE OF THE PROBLEMS WITH DC CONNECTIONS IS THAT MOST ARE SOLDERED AND YOU COULD HAVE A COLD SOLDER JOINT. YOU CAN TRY PULLING GENTLY ON THE WIRE THAT IS SOLDERED TO THESE CONNECTIONS AND SEE IF THE CONDUCTOR HAS PARTED (THE WIRE INSIDE THE INSULATION). I WOULD SAY THE CONNECTIONS (PLUGS) ARE THE MOST LIKELY CULPRIT.. ?’S 805-227-4322 GARY
