ParticipantDave they give you an option to turn down a job. But if you do, it negatively effects your “success rate”. The higher your success rate the more jobs are assigned to you. I personally have declined about 4 jobs in the past year and am still employed with them as a technician today.

ParticipantThere’s no reason why every operator shouldnt be signed up with guardsman. It’s easy work. Usually in and out in 15-20 minutes. $80-$120 for 20 minutes of work? Free advertising? Can’t beat that. Every once in a while you’ll get a job that’ll take you 45 minutes or so; but the good definitly out weighs the bad. Leave your business card and you just made yourself another customer. Highly recommended.

ParticipantNever had much luck with coffee spots either. What stings even more is Stanley Steamer guarantees their removal (pet spots too)……ouch

ParticipantTechnicalities technicalities. To the layman it appears to be steam

ParticipantDirt bag- It was definitly coming out of the wand and it appeared to be steam. But then again it was like 3 oclock in the morning and I was kinda drunk………..But i’m almost positive.

ParticipantI feel your pain. I lost two jobs today because I wasn’t a “steam cleaner”.
As for steam cleaners not using any steam, I saw a steam cleaner the other day in action……sure did look like steam coming out of his wand to me.KY13
ParticipantSo how’d the clean off go?

ParticipantAmmon- Thats a good idea. But the red dye removal process works best on dry surfaces, so you might wanna break out the ole’ hair dryer first.

ParticipantAmmon I don’t know if the custmer had tried anything on it before. She probably did. I’ve used the red dye removal process about a hundred times so far with practically a 99% success rate.

ParticipantJust the other day I tried taking out a koolaid stain on an expensive white upholstered dining chair. I used the red dye remover but was skeptical about putting heat to it so I just let the solution dwell. After a minute or so the red koolaid stain turned BROWN! Tried flushing out with water…..nothing. Even tried putting the steamer to it…….nothing. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

Participantwhy not the upholstery mate
