I have purchased QB simple start (edition 2006) I haven’t opened it yet until I know what direction operators feel more comfy with. It’s why I posted to begin with. The receit is taped to the un opened box (walmart $89.92) just in case I return it.
It has been a while since anyone has posted on the state owner section. As I read the newsletter and read the BB, I’m under the impression we need to have the city owners sacrifice and pay the (full?) amount of the registration. I’m prepared either way. We all want our operators to attend. I also feel we should be consistant as state owners. As stated in the past, we paid for food and meeting room. Have we now changed tradition to charge a small registration fee for regional seminars? What are your feeling and/or concerns? I’m ready to do “whatever is best for all concerns.”
I hate to be the party pooper! There is no sales tax, useage tax, or military retirement state tax in the Great State of Oregon! There is still some prime area’s open in Oregon and I could set you up with the state Owner. He’s really a great guy. Really!

Staring at death once or more in your time served really does something to you. When you know it’s all on the line and this may be your last, well, it’s like going into a surgery not knowing if your going to survive is as about as close as I can think of to what vet’s past and present experience.Justin,

Having good connections with real estate agents are also very helpfull. Talking with the new owner will be an easy sale for protector as well! Even in Jan of Feb.Hector,
Jermey Child will do a presentation in Vegas and after you see that, it will answer your question or make you think in a whole new direction. Do you have the materials to do a power point presentation? If not Jeremy can show you a way he presents at a home show. It is very impressive.Just a side note:
When I was with (please forgive the cussing) Chem-Dry, (1990-1992) The seminars (more like pep rallies) were $100 a day for the first person from your area and $50 each for the next two (times four days), included was lunch, that was ordered as you arrived in the morning. This price didn’t include breakfast, dinner, snacks, drinks, motel, airfare, taxi, gas, tips or anything else. At the end of this pep rally, you were expected to spend another $500 to $1000 for the new products that would “really make you successful!” These were required to attend every two or three years (I can’t remember) or you lost your franchise. We at Heavensbest have been served better for less. As a person that came from another franchise I feel a need to say, we have it really good. I hope we can comprehend how good we really have it. We at Heavens Best get the oppertunity to attend -vs- have to attend. It will be great.I also understand the concern. Who droped the ball? Travel agent, other? To me it doesn’t matter. It is entirely out of my control. I agree the timing stinks but the real questions as state owners always are and should be !. How can I do my job better today? 2. What can I do to improve the situation? 3. How can I support others? I’m not saying any of you should or have to but I’m prepared to share this cost with my attending operaters. This is why, (1.) I believe in Cody Howard 100% because he has never given me a reason to dought his motives or intigrity. (2.) The hours and devotion he puts into this company to serve us is unmatched in the industry. He cares more about me (and us) indivdually more than any school teacher I’ve ever had. He is to us more than a friend. If we were in a crisis, he who want to be first in line to help. What I’m trying to say, he has compation more then any business man or woman I’ve ever met. I know that we as state owners and office staff have allot invested in Cody Howard and the entire Heaven’s Best team. (3.) I care about all my City Owners and I know it will benifit all who attend the seminar. As a stock investor, and I am, I’ve always felt and understood, you ride the winners and dump the loosers. I see this situation as a minor hic-up. That’s all. Something we will all work through. I’m kind of rambing on however this is how I feel in my heart, and I feel you do to, becuse you have the vision of a state owner. Again, I’m thinking I will pay half for food (registration) as well as motel expense. I, like Bryan welcome your imput. (As always, please forgive me of my spelling errors.)
To whom it may concern:
There are only a few posts that can really get under the skin. My pleading is that we as state owners take the high road and not let it get to us to the point we come across with feathers ruffed up. In almost every case, we are doing well. If it gets to you wait a few days, cool off. Letting someone else give them heat in a non- threatning way, would be the best. Don’t make a fool of yourself. Make sure you will not regret your comment in a few days, that’s the main thing I’m trying to convey.
