Don’t get me wrong, somethings about the tech world leave me far behind. Therefore I’m looking to the past and what worked well. I have started again advertising in newspapers in some selected areas, Sunday papers (business opportunity) and internet. The ad is as follows…

    Heavens Best Carpet Cleaning.
Having a 98% owner satisfaction rate!
    Seven year straight “fastest growing
    franchise”. $24.9k some financing
    (800)568-3605 or (866)831-2345

I put some financing only because it limits the calls from job seekers.

Kim, Today I called the Rexburg sales rep at (208)356-4455. Ask for Steve. We went through some options.
    1. I went with the all wheel drive because of the winters here and slick roads.
    2. I went with the CD w/ AM FM radio for $165 more.
    3. I went with the chrome front & rear bumper, I think $60 more.

It comes w/ cloth seats, power windows, push button key chain unlock. AC, cruse, cage, and racks. Plus the logo raps for $26,131. In addition, the extras listed above. The full details will be faxed in the next few days! I asked about % rates and he said most were going between 7 and 8 %.

Note: If you get the all wheel drive it comes w/ the 5.3L engine, however the rear heater & AC are not available. Only on the rear wheel drive.

    Hope this helps!

The calls for new vans have increased allot since the conf. in Vegas. The Corp. office connection in Rexburg is Steve @ (208)356-4455. I’m working on my order now! The 07 may be even better in price because of the bigger demand! Make the call, see how low you can go!

I agree with Ammon, Bryan, Dennis and Ron.

The wider the lens the better the view!

    Input is good!

What corp. is doing is collectively for all concerns. I also will not have corp. have all my eggs. The saying goes ” If you have all your eggs in one basket, make sure you have a firm grip on the basket.”

I know I am over all responsible for what I do or don’t do with my states. I am spending advertising in available areas neighboring areas of good operators. I also plan to advertise very heavy in areas of operators I have shut down and/or will soon be shutting down. I hold the responsibility. I will take action.

One concern is of state owners that understand the value of advertising. (investing in their greater good)

Question… What are we to do with operators and when, who have not, or will not upgrade their business to the new logo and uniform changes?
According to the newsletter (June 06 I think) all are to be converted no later than Dec 07.

I think this is the case of NOT “to much enough info.”

I feel a State Owner manual would not be practical because we are going through so many changes so rapidly. I would welcome more structured guide lines.

I would also welcome the 31 state owners responsibilities to be divided into the three categories of Finding, Strengthening, and Enforcing.

I appreciate Ron’s work and efforts on the “city operators evaluation” form. One question I would like to add to that list is… What can I do to be a better State Owner?”

Thank you all for your input and striving to pave the road for all of us.

Cody, I’ll go anywhere this leadership is going. It’s up, even if it’s in the south.

Lead the way we will follow. Even if it’s Salt Lake City, UT or Iceburg, ID

I got my wife a red shirt in exchange for an unwashed blue mens shirt. The red is only available in wo-man’s shirts. She also liked the red much better.

    So …
    Mens= blue or white

    Womans= white or red

We’re a red, white. and blue family!

Even our family up north and in England!

I heard a few calls at the conference for Hawaii!
From CA. to Hawaii is 5 1/2 Hr flight. 6 1/2 hr from Seattle.
Some in HB don’t fly. It would be a long boat ride.
I love Hawaii, however I don’t think it would be the best place for a international conference. Sorry.

Maybe I’m a bit family oriented because I would like to have it by disney land or world. I would like to spend a few additional days with them there and find a way to write it off as well! Like pass out 10 – 20 info packets after qualifying them. I would even be proud to wear my new logo’ed Heaven’s Best shirts both days at the amusement park!

So I guess thats (2) for Orlando

In many cases, it really depends on the customer. If she was a gripe, gripe person and I don’t care if I ever return (like a bad pet odor) I will charge extra. If I want this customer for life, I probably wouldn’t charge. Where did the rust come from? Another cleaner? Does she have her own machine and only use you when it’s a muck yuck mess? Did she create the rust and will it soon return because of something she does? All have value or lack of it.
Was this a special price or regular price?
If it is very hard to get to and shes a twit, Make her a deal! She removes the base board and you’ll remove the rust! Sounds like a deal to me.

As far as furniture, the slide thingies make moving furniture much easier and not so much of a concern. With most of my customers, I will discount if they remove the furniture. If there is only a path of carpet and all the rest has to be moved, I start talking about her calling the moving company and if she still wants the STUFF moved I’ll pass. The things I don’t move are… entertainment centers, piano’s, china hutches (unless empty), or flemzy furniture that could easily fall apart.

Our business is all about giving the V.I.P. treatment. To the few that want to take advantage of you, it’s not worth the negitive vibes. Pass on the twits and find the people that are not twits. That’s all I’m saying.

    I agree with above!
When I come across the low ball price shopper and it becomes clear that thats what they are, I go after them this way,
“We are an international franchise, the fastest growing in the world for 7 straight years, with franchises through out the United States, Canada, and England. We got that way because we do the job right. If your looking for a cheep, take the dust off the top cleaner, you called the wrong place. But if your looking for a top quality cleaner at a fair price that will see the job through, than you called the right place. What do you need cleaned? (or what can we clean for you?)”
It’s the most direct way I know to change there thinking from price to quality. Besides, who wants to be known for cheep when we can get quality!
