ParticipantYour joking right?
Does this mean at age three you go goo goo when you see a motor bike?

ParticipantReverse…
I just checked out Fairfield (by Marriott).
… Much like Hilton.
I find that most Heaven’s Best operators looking for a motel (discount or not) doesn’t want to pay more than $70 for a night. Many of then $100-$120 only if it’s a seminar with other operators to talk and socialize with. (and it better be nice enough to impress the spouse for that price.)
So, not so much that only a few will rent and nice enough that they will.
Where available, I think Shilo Inn and Suites fit that need. We just need to find more of a good thing!

ParticipantGood! Halloween is finally done in our nieghborhood.
Best Western is the largest chain motel. It seems to be the most independent as well. It is so independent it seems Best Western is more of a name than a chain. Finding the Best Western locations that will except the corp. discount would be the first thing, the second would be to fill 400 of those rooms that will except the discount. More importantly in most Best Westerns, a AAA card will get you a better discount then a corparation discount.
Super 8 is a good chain as well. Fairly independent. (Shilo Suites are almost like the Hiltons, Shilo Inns are more like the Fairfield Inn’s I’ve seen.)
Out of the ones listed, I think Fairfield Inn’s may be the first place to start. Check if they have a conf. room big enough in areas we want to have a seminar in and go from there.

ParticipantBryan, It can be done. The concern is always the minimum amount of rooms required per year to maintain the contract.
Best Western required 400 rooms per year. Only about half of the best western would even except the discounted price. Most of the motels that we do a seminar in give us the best business discount during the seminar only. More later I have to go now.hbottumwa
ParticipantI have desided to persue this with Shilo Inn & Suites. I have stayed in shilo suites now 5 times and I’ve been impressed with their level of service as well as the size of the rooms. In some cases the discount would go as much as 30%. I was also glad to know, Shilo Inn & Suites is among the only 20% of american owners that own motels in america. (80% of the motels in america is owned by non american citizens) I will post the info in the City Owner section when completed. Should be less than a week. I’m still not sure how much discount would apply to the affiliate motels.

ParticipantBrian,
I really feel your pain,
When you get to be my age, Birthday 07 won’t seem so sad.
At least you didn’t have to get a permit from the fire department before lighting the candles!
Glad to have you part of the Heaven’s Best Family!
