A few -before and after- photo’s in your “droping cards & stuffing mailboxes” will help build a lot of credibility.

    Greg, Looks good.
How do you know the calls are coming from the internet site? I mean, how are you tracking that?

Thank you Dave for the reminder.
China hutches can go to… China. (yes I know china is also flat wear)

I will only move then if everything in them are removed. (by them)
For example: I will not be stuck paying for sentimental grief for a nick-nack item their grandfather gave them from overseas when he was in WWII.

    Just think before you do.

I agree. Quote a price and give a discount accordingly is the best route.
In the old school, they required additional insurance to move entertainment centers and pianos. (because they were the biggest problems, pianos- hard on body/back and could damage carpet when moved. entertainment centers- were not built well (and still aren’t made to move)).

Never move a grandfather clock. Locally cost $72 to recalibrate time. (Don’t ask me how I know).

One time I told a lady, (who had a lot of furniture) I would charge her more for moving of furniture or I would charge her what a moving company would charge her to remove the furniture and put it back. Or she could call them to come out to remove it and I would give her a discount the clean the carpet and then they could more it back. I think the moving company would charge more than I do to do both… After seeing a different perspective she had no problem with the extra charge.

From the State Owner seminar, I’m thrilled about the progress we are making. With Tandus, I feel like a kid at Christmas time, I can’t wait to get our operators trained and fully functional, making even better bucks. Thanks all for making Heaven’s Best even better!

P.S. Dennis, do you still need more topics and questions & answers?

Craigslist from what I’ve been told has worked well to find employees.
I’ve not heard concerning advertising for customers.

I agree with all things stated.
I have had this twice and one who took their life. (sad)
I have have had to go back twice on two, and three times on the other to remove the wicking. It will look like I got it all, then I buff and it will still wick.
Plan on returning three times, and just figure that in your first bill. This is what I have done since the first experience.

All of these are good points.
Service Master or Stanley Steamer (I can’t remember which or the two) spent 5 million this year in national TV ads.
What percentage of that bill do you want to pay? Who would decide how, where, and with who those ads are ran?
I am the expert in the markets in my area. and you are the expert in yours. As it is, you have the complete choice to advertise how. and with who as you see fit.
Some operators would go under if we had a mandatory pay out for national advertising.
I don’t want to give up that control of advertising.(place or $)

    I’m glad I’m in Heaven’s Best!

    Just something else to consider.
I have found also, location sometimes is more important than the spot itself. I’ve had people say “don’t worry about it” when the spot is, for the most part out of site, and people would pay $60-$120 for the spot by the door way. (Because they are looking at replacing the carpet it the spot can’t come out.) $120 doesn’t even cover the labor cost of replacement.
I agree, asking about concerns before quoting a price can save you allot of …

I’ve had those concerns myself. I don’t feel I’ve lost any because of tight financial lending.

On the flipside, I’m curtain I lost one and maybe two sales of people with well over $100k to invest, that felt we didn’t have a good enough multi-van (4+) training.

Sorry to change the subject Ammon, I’ll start a new tread.

I will try to be kind here…

“They didn’t want us to use anything that we normally don’t do.” Matt.

I don’t normally use a dual process, and I wouldn’t want to do the entire place using a steam cleaner and buff behind it and then try to explain how we can have the carpets dry in 1 hour as it says on our vans. To make a long story short.
I believe in the low moisture process. I’ve won these competitions without the flood and I would highly recommend against a dual process for these reasons.
