I thank those that have posted. I heard from someone that said “Is this the time to go back to the $99 special for 3 rooms (up to 400-600 sf- depending on the time of year) and $149 for clean and protect. Get a jump on the competition, with the goal of 6-8 jobs a day. Booking jobs as close as possible. Always maintaining quality.” Agree/not agree? What’s your thoughts on the issue?

I can’t believe more operators are not commenting about the pile brush. We are having great success! Thursday was the “Due date” for my managers first child. So, I cleaned Thursday and Friday. (Healthy baby boy!) A vacant apt, lite blue carpet, 5/8′- 3/4′” pile, 420sf. She vacuumed. I vacuumed, them used the pile brush. The “trap” had a hand full of sand, two paper clips, and a 1″ screw. The carpet after cleaning looked new, except where I couldn’t pile brush in the 3’X12′ hall very well.(pile leans toward the wall) It still showed a little grayish. She (moving out) was impressed enough to give me a cash tip of $20! Manager, Momma, and baby Paysen Alex are all doing fine!

    Good subject question.
Dave, totally agree. When it comes to durability, what you don’t see makes all the difference.
Most “Land lords” locally seem to go to the “short cut Berber” carpets and plan on replacing every 5-7 years. My parents have 28 house/apartments rentals. They come from the 1930’s era of “Service is the price you pay for the space you occupy”… “Use it up, wear it out, or go with out”. They get carpet used from a government assisted “senior retirement center” I clean for, who replace the carpet every 5 years. They have large liv/din room carpet and he installs them and I clean them. He also picks up high quality used carpet where the owners are “just tired of the color”and are buying new. He has a place he has about 4-5 carpets waiting to be installed. And yes, he installs quality pad. So, that’s the two extremes.

I have Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon (HMO). I have chose to go with the family $7,500 deductible, HSA (health savings account) plan. I have a home “line of credit” that if I needed to, I could tap into. With Obama’s forced (legal/not legal) health care it has turned the insurance industry upside down and inside out. Perhaps only a medical lawyer could estimate the best way to go. I try to avoid lawyers. I would sit down with a local multiple insurance provider and discuss options.

Free? Sure! Just go 65 in 25 mph Zone. Get those pretty red and blue disco lights shinning behind you, there’s your free back ground check!!!
Seriously, Cody has the forms to do an employee back ground check. I can not recall the price. I’m willing to bet your state owner Cody can help you! (The form! Not the 65 in a 25.)

Yes, entry ways, mud packed areas, front of couch, and anywhere else it’s matted for that matter. I can’t say this about many things, but this tool is worth the time saved, money spent, and overall look and feel of the carpet. In the carpets it doesn’t make look new, it greatly improves… Check for the direction of the pile. “Dry extract”, lift the pile, and remove dirt and grime all in one action, then low moisture clean. You know that feeling you get when not only the customer is impressed but so are you? Got to try it.

Manager/operator text (second night) “The pile brush is a time saver, and it helps things look pretty close to new again”
P.S. He said “He can’t believe he’s getting paid for the upper body work out.”

Just received my PB! I got it at 2:15 PM Friday, Used it on my living room showing my manager how to use it. (looks good) At 3pm took my family camping. Got back Saturday 2pm. My manager cleaned 1/3 part of a $1980. job last night starting at 5pm. My text message from him stated… “The pile brush is awesome! The carpets look almost new just with the pile brush!”
Note: The carpets are 4 years old, steam cleaned twice, light colored tan Berber weave. There was “Ugly Out” in some areas already. The rest of the carpet is 1/3 blue and 1/3 tan nylon.
This is how we have priced this contract: $1980.00 first time clean. They have custodial vacuum nightly. We will use the pile brush on heavy traffic areas and spot clean weekly, Low moisture clean monthly in same heavy traffic area, and clean the whole place every 4 months and charge $480.00 monthly after the $1980.00 first cleaning. $7,740. for first 12 months!
It’s a lot easier to do maintenance cleaning than restorative cleaning. As I learned from Orlando International Seminar… Create enough commercial cleaning to pay your monthly expenses and the rest is all profit!!!! This is the first of three places already committed to do our program. More to come!!! I love this business!!!

This is a another good reminder of the importance of …
Small town or big city. You never know who’s got a hidden camera/cell/video on you cleaning, marketing, driving, etc. With youtube out there, I can see a day in the very near future when one or more of us will be on display for the world to see. We need to live up to the name “Heaven’s Best” in all we do. I love Heaven’s Best. I love that it has been a great vehicle to provide for my family’s needs (and wants within reason) and all trends indicate it will be so, long, long, into the future. I’m proud to be associated with you!

I got a new bank the other day. I’m waiting for depo stamps before doing the change over. I like the idea of ACH franchise fee/financing depo’s. How much hassle with forms? Out of state issues etc. What was your experience Ron?

Sadly, within 15 years I will be that seasoned citation (65+). I am NOT running for office, but I agree with what has been posted.
