For those of you that pay your employees a commission, do you have them clean the pads and if so how do you pay them for that?

I just ordered some new stair pads and actually received the pads with the green stripe. I haven’t actually used them yet, but I believe Dave in PA has used them before and has suggested splitting them to get better use out of them…

The COLA here in SC is pretty low. My min is $65 and most of my legitimate competitors limits are around $75 and a little higher. However, I am flexible with my loyal customers. I will get a call from them on a rare occasion to spot clean an accident. After I get a couple of years under the belt, I may raise my min slightly…

I just think a 1/2 hp or 3/4 hp would be much better.

I also tried it on a red blanket that got wet and bleed on to the carpet. No luck.

Networking is great. Be careful with the YP. It has not worked well in this area.

About how much do most of you apply on a given soiled spot? About the same amount as what you apply 101?

The steam iron and new steam iron attachment with a towel works great on tough wax spots. It may work with crayon as well..

I had a similar issue with mine at about my 6th month mark. It would heat up faster than normal. It has a 1 yr warranty and my local Oreck dealer repaired it free of charge due to the warranty. The problem with mine was a loose relay switch. No problems since (I am at month 16 now).

That is a great idea. There is a locally owned moving company here that happens to be in my BNI. The use us when ever they have those problems. They currently hand out our info to all their customers that move out of the area as well.

HA, you run into all kinds of stuff eventually. I just had a similar encounter, but this guy understood the situation after I explained it to him. I told him that when I come back to clean again, to just point out any areas that seems to be the problem areas and I can give “special attention” to them prior to the normal cleaning. He was cool with that….

You can definately mix it with more water and still get the scent. I will usually just spray a little (on mist) in the room and it adds a very pleasant smell to the room.
