    Hi Ammon,
Good to see you on the board, I know you are busy and that’s good!!!!!
Are you going to S.O. meeting end of month? I can bring sample of web site post cards I had made up for all my people. So far the feed back has been good on these post cards. The template is on vista print and I’m told anyone can use it, just change the web address.

    Hi Matt,

In Florida we just started this: A printed coupon (printed from vista print, quality was very good) to be passed out to all customers, It says, How did you like our cleaning? (we all kmow the answer, Great job) Then it says make us your FAVORITE cleaner, put us on your computer favorite list. (FL. web address) If they don’t know how to do that, we offer to do it for them. The next time they book job, if off the internet they can print out coupon and pass to operator for a 10% discount. This is new and will take time to be successful. The intent is to keep them as a steady customer and not need to look for any other cleaners in the future.

I understand from our telephone meetings that we are headed to SLC for some training from Tandus, sounds like a good thing for all of us. I would like to ad a few subjects for my journey cross country and was wondering if I would have any support from other state owners?
#1 training on new tile & grout machine (so I may teach my operators when I return).
#2 see first hand some tv ads, and listen to an assortment of radio ads
#3 New marketing ideas from Corporate. Laura, I remember a while back you wanted the title of Marketing manager for State Owners (or something similar to that) would you be willing to present to all of us what you had in mind? I’m really of the belief that $200.00 a month for corporate internet advertising is not doing the job and we need new ideas, Has anybody used SALESGENIE.COM?
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi Rick,

That was a good post because I kind of forgot about that post in Dec. of “06” telling us we were going to get a DVD from LMCCA. I was at regional LMCCA meeting in May 08 in Orlando FL. and heard nothing about DVD!!!!!!
Maybe they have one and I have not heard about it, I’m sure my people in Florida would love to have that DVD.Maybe John can post here and let us all know the status of that DVD.

Gordon, thank you for your answer, Ammon, yes I think that’s the way I read it in the newsletter, no more CLF for payment. I’m not sure I understand your answer, Do you mean if a potential sale rides with one of your people you tell them to not send in a royalty payment? ($80.00). If I read that right, is not one an expense and the other income?
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Bryan,

I could not agree more with #3 of your post!!!! A short time ago, I polled all my people, How did you get into this business? NOT 1 said they wanted to become a carpet cleaner, matter of fact most felt it was a degrading job until they learned more about it. I remember (long time ago) being in high school and we all looked at the janitor as a blue collar “dummy” with no education.
After talking with many leads over the years, I still feel we have some of that blue collar stigma. So after all that I think you are correct and we need to let all leads know ASAP that this is not a blue collar stigma job, This is a great business and show them that all walks of life are in it.

I have done many of these in Florida (in another business) and Brian is bascially right, but I think there are better supplies on the market for concrete (mold, mildew, etc. on the concrete) and they have a machine with a concealed rotating brush that hooks up to pressure washer which does a “GREAT” job.

    Hi Gordon,

I hope I did not call anyone crazy for their actions, on any subject. I consider all state owners very intelligent people. With that said, what I know about this subject is, A corporation has never been pierced in a law suit in any state (up to this time) and gotten to the owner. So with that said it means a great deal of protection, example, if you have employee that backs out of yard and runs over child, you may lose everything in your Corporation but not your personel assets. Also I have owned business that have had both type of Corporations, C and sub chapter S.
I think the main benifit of sub chapter S is, All income stream goes to your bottom line. (I feel that’s good as long as you move money before the end of your tax year.I know very little about an LLC.except that it stands for limited liability corporation. All of the above is coming from a business person, NOT a lawyer (all though I have one of those in the family, Daughter)so you might what to check with a business lawyer or CPA before you make any moves.
    Hope this Helps,
    Ron

Adding to Mark’s post, The postcards are heavy weight paper with color print. I passed out 150 to each operator for a start. After that they can go on vista print and order more. I think they look very professional. I’m not sure how to download one on the B.B. so I will ask corporate to do it, or go to http://www.vistaprint. com, click on log in, e-mail address is heavenbest@msn.com, password is hbpass46 and you can open template and view card there.

    Mike,
I had a two hour session on the B.B. in my FL seminar. Trying to get more of my people to respond, Most read it but will not reply. I hope that will change, some have been in this business for 15-years and have a wealth of information that needs to be shared with everyone in this business.
