I think the first S.O. webinar went well, wish we had been told ahead of time to have mic.!!!!! I thought it was a one-way webinar. The webinars should be attended live by all, if you have reasonable excuse, we should be able to call corporate and have them send us the recorded version via e-mail. I would like the next meeting subject to be, ways to sell franchises. I know this is a hard topic for corporate as well as all of us but if we don’t grow we die, it’s that simple, we need to find a way for all of us to make more sales. Do we need more effective advertising? web presence?
I think corporate did the right thing after careful review and kept the price of a franchise and schedule “A” the same for 2013, but and this is a big but. I was getting ready to sell one of my last franchises and in the sales process I told them we can do commercial tile & grout cleaning. Just before the sale it came out that in order to be cost effective to do the commercial T&G cleanning, we have a special machine that cost and additional $5,000.00 to the sale price of the franchise. To say the least, they were not happy to find out about that so late in the sales process. I now make it a point from the very beginning to tell them what we clean and how along with all the extra equipment you may need to buy. I suggest strongly you all do that to prevent what happened to me.

The August S.O. Newsletter had an article about ACH. I posted about this subject back in May. I just wanted to say it is one of the best things I have ever done!!!!!! It is working well, going on 4 months and would recommend all S. O. To start ACH.
You get paid on time with no hassles.

I guess I’ m just old fashion, because I still favor c of c over any other group. I belonged to the chamber for years and had a great relationship with all the members. Something they are not suppose to do is show favoritism but anytime a snowbird called in to the office asking for a cleaner, they always said, call Heaven’s Best !!!!!

    Eric,
If I read the May newsletter correctly, it said under trouble tickets, do not call Heaven’s Best Corporate Headquarters about Hyperion problems. They are not setup to handle these problems. I think your best bet is to setup trouble ticket with Hyperion. If this does not work in a reasonable amount of time, give me a call.

    Dave,

Oh how at laugh at your post, it is so true, I bought a Heaven’s Best franchise in Florida over 20 years ago for just that reason. The older people have all the wealth and they don’t want to rent a machine, they want to hire me,(and they did). Now 20 years later, I’m one of those “baby boomers” UGH!!!!!!!!

    Gordon,

I’m on a cross country trip to Seattle, then a 10 day cruise to Alaska, then back across country to my summer home in NH, so I do not check the board very often. sorry I’m answering late!!!!!

The form was provided by Pinacle, (private company that my bank uses) it was a one page form, each person had to fill out with their bank account number, routing number and voided check with their signature. It was all done by e-mail attachments and copy of check. It was real easy and had everybody on board within 2-weeks. I like the part where I withdraw (debit) the money from their account). They don’t have to remember anything (no excuses), I do all the activation, they do nothing!!!!!!

The 5th of the month is what it says in all my contracts, Due date for royalty fees, monthly reports and all my direct reduction loans.
Sorry, but if I had to use those thiefs (BofA) I would be doing an all cash business!!!!!!!!!

A few years and a financial “meltdown”in 08 makes a world of difference!!!!!!! Back then I asked about ACH and the cost was about $20.00 a person. Last month I setup ACH with ALL my operators (they were happy to join). I can go in up to two weeks before the date I’ve set, of every month, and debit their account. I have setup all royalty fees and monthly payments to be debited on the 5th of every month. If the 5th falls on Sat. or Sun. it goes to following Monday (unless Holiday). The best part is the cost is $25.00 per month plus .35 per operator. I will pay that amount anytime to have all my operators pay on time!!!! Also I can now view where and how much the money is coming from. When I asked about this ACH plan years back, that was another drawback, you could not view each individual account. WOW May 2012 is the first time every operator has paid on time in years!!!!!!!!

You know, if you really stop and think about it, if you put 2ozs in a 32 oz bottle, that leaves 30 ozs for water!!!!!!!! Maybe it’s a 2-30 ratio?

Yes, according to John 174 and 109 are the same with a mistake on the printed ratios. He said he will get together with Adam and make a correction so all mix ratios will be the same. I got the feeling that 1-32 is correct, but he asked me to do a small trial and try a 2-32 mix and report back. I personally think 2-32 is a good mix, but I would like a few more weeks before I report back. You need to be careful, because if the mix is too strong it will leave a residue.

I had the same question, If you look at #109 on the HB store it says 1oz. to 32oz. some other place it gave a different ratio. I called corporate and talked with John. He sent me a bottle and suggested I try a little stronger ratio for a trial. We mixed (wife and I) a ratio of 2ozs. to 32ozs. and have used it for a week. The results are FANTASTIC, have used on house windows, my truck windows, counter tops (porcelain) and all stainless appliances in kitchen. I’m about to write all my people in Florida an e-mail about this product, They should be able to sell a “ton” of this product. Thank You Corporate for such a great product!!!!!
