    Gordon,
Great to see you again although we had little time to talk, that’s why I’m in favor of a 2- min. or 3 day S. O. meeting. If Ammon is going to make me fly across country every year, than I need all the “bang for my buck” I can get. On your question about state owner, that was a question on page 2, and page 3 was evaluation of corporate. It turned out to be the best part of the process because corporate and myself found many weakness that will need to be fixed this year. Also they all felt more comfortable that it was a two way street, I evaluated them and then they evaluated us! It worked far better than I ever expected.
    Dennis,
I’m not sure I’m ready just yet, I have many ideas I’ve already started to work on, to meet my sales goal this year. Maybe late summer, I’m just not sure at this time. I’m also working on a new web site for my people, so our customers can make us a FAVORITE.

I think maybe we should stop calling it internet advertising and just have $200.00 per month national advertising fee. That way we all can stop worrying about how many “hits” each state or country owner is receiving. I agree when the sale is made through corporate, then we kick in some more money. I plan on doing some more “dog and pony” shows in the near future (sold 2 at one of my shows.) so as far as another meeting goes, I would want to wait until I see what success this brings. Also I’m not keen on flying across country again soon, also having fire alarm go off 11:00 at the Excaliber and they cleaned the place out. We got to first floor on stair case in (night clothes!!!) when they announced FALSE ALARM. Real cold outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got finished talking with corporate on this very issue 2-days ago. Cody informs me that you have to have an expensive software pkg. to open that site, He said all advertisers have the program and you give them log on name and password.

    Hi Dave

I’m not sure I can help you with the KW but I’ve owned many generators up north and presently have three here in Florida, 2 in my construction business and one 12 KW for my home. No matter what KW you decide on make sure it has a Honda engine, they have been number 1 on starting, running, noise, etc, etc. To bad you could not use a propane fired, that’s what I have at my home and it ran for over 3-weeks straight after hurricanes of “04” Lot more efficient and cleaner burning!!!! I think 6KW will more than do the job for you.

    Hello Gary,

I can’t give you exact quotes to use on phone, but if you missed “daveinpa” phone’s conversation with a call from a person price shopping, which landed him a pretty good job, you might want to read it. It was under Misc. tues. 12/26.
    Hope this helps

To answer one of Ron’s and Neil’s questions, Yes HWE can cause mold under carpets, I’ve seen it first hand many times in my cleaning days in Florida!!!! I will not bore you with all the experiences but one in particular comes to mind, I started vacuuming a berber carpet and the fibers were coming apart and winding in the beater bar, I stopped and asked the customer if she had any other cleaners in her home recently and she said “YES, Father and Son carpet cleaners appx. 3 months ago and not happy at all (that’s why she called me, saw my Dry in One Hour Ad), They left the carpets soaked” I asked her if I could pull back carpet in area behind couch and she said Yes, to my surprise I found black mold on wet concrete floor and the glue and jute backing had been rotting on backside of carpet.
    Hope this helps!!!!

    Hi Jeff,
15 years ago I decided to build my own house, so I found an employee to run my business, I worked out a deal close to this (memory is starting to fail) Remember this is 15 year ago dollars, $250.00 base pay plus 25% comm. for gross dollars up to $750.00 per week after that 50%. It may of not been the best, but he later bought that area from me when I became a State Owner. Make sure and talk with accountant because there are IRS laws that you must follow or they will hit you for full time employee, things like he must have phone and book jobs, he (or she) must have van all the time. I’m sure other people will answer on your question as well.
    Hope this helps

PS This makes them pass out business cards etc. etc. when they are slow because THEY want more business, so they wind up building up your business.

It’s great, but if the operator was half smart he would have sold it at a good profit instead of giving it back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    😆 Nev,
Welcome to the HB family. The question on part time, full time is a very good question, I myself like Bryan just jumped in (had put aside a lot of money for advertising) and was very succesfull my 1st year. I have a number of operators who started part time and they all say “I wish I had just started out full time.” What most of them did was reverse the role, made HB full time and their full time job part time. This was mostly done in the 3-6 month time frame, after 1-2 years max. they were all full time HB and no part time job. Hope this helps!!!!!!
