I agree Bryan, and for some of us who are old enough to receive AARP, there was a good story about Heaven’s Best.That story with picture of operator will give us some great exposure. Someone told me that is one of the largest publications in the USA, I Wonder if that is true??????

I agree, 2 of my sales last year came off of internet. 1 came direct from my post on the For Sale board, the other from Franchise 50 site.( I just don’t want to wait for internet only). It seems like I have spent a fortune on newspaper ads over 15 years with lousy results, Maybe there not worded correctly. I even took some of Dan’s ads and ran them!!!!!

I’m sticking with my original thoughts until proven wrong. Why reinvent the wheel? How did Chem-Dry sell over 5,000 in the USA alone?
As soon as corporate and myself (or others) line up 3,4,or more franchises for D&P shows, I will be ready to advertise and get started on a show again. I have ordered the new graphics from corporate and waiting for them to arrive. Dennis did you receive my call back on Sunday? What’s the lastest on that? Bryan, I agree we need some sort of paperwork on advertising fund, but I expect to see that when I receive the audited financials from corporate sometime in March.

I agree, That’s why I said at the S.O. meeting, with the great tools corporate has now given us we WILL sell franchises. I wish you could have seen my display and paperwork for shows 15 years ago UGH !!!! I agree with no “gettoblasters” but I will have a small dvd player on the table playing our dvd. I’m also planning on having a table wrap done in white with 2or3 large logo’s embroide in the cloth( similar to the one Adam had done on the back of his shirts). This will look much better than the paper they normally give you! Do you agree? I also have no concerns with other franchises, I’ve worked shows with over 100 in room, some get a little pushy in the aisles but for the most part everyone is very good. I have asked all my people this question, Where you looking for carpet cleaning when you where looking for a business? ALL of them said no inculding myself, which means some will buy “Pro painter”, some will buy “molley maids” etc. etc. After a few shows if we beat up on them to badly then will will look for 3 more. over 1000 out there!!!! I will search for a Motel 51/2 or “fleabag special” so we all can use the same chain!!!!!!
Also, no powerpoint for me, the new backdrop, dvd, and banner stand will be enough to get them to stop and them we take over.

D&P show I will do goes something like this: Corporate will pick 3-other small franchisees to work in my show, divide cost by 4, I will put my business up against any of the other top 100 so what ever 3 they pick, I knew if any sale at this show is made, it will be me! I will pick the city I want to sell in (at least 100,000 Pop.) and go to a franchise hotel, Marriot, Holiday Inn, etc. etc. and set up meeting room for Friday night, Sat. Afternoon or even Sun. (details need to be worked out on some of what I’m telling you here.) Need large Hotel so maybe we can use them all over Country and of course don’t forget Canada. (What chains do you have up there, “Dirtbag”?) Then we advertise for 2- weeks in advance that this show is coming, Newspaper and 30- second commuter radio ads. and Hotel marquee.
Only first 150 calls will get free tickets to attend! All 4 businesses will have table set up similar to one displayed at seminar, also will have round tables for each, so we can talk to them in private. I would like another S.O. to help me and I would do same in return, but I don’t like cold weather and it seems everyone interested is in the West. Oh well I can use my wife and 1 of my operators, don’t under estimate standing in one spot for hours on end, you have to take breaks to stay sharp. That’s it in a “nutshell” I have left out a lot of details but I’m sure you can work off of this, or please give me a call. Randy this took 6 hours to TYPE!!!!!!!

Another S.O. I had no time to talk with!!!!!!!!!!! That’s why I said 2- days Min. maybe 3. It goes by so fast!!!!!!! Bryan this is the same D&P show I talked about on the B.B. this spring, at that time no one answered so I figured I was on my own. I’m not that good a typist to explain the whole process on this B.B. so maybe sometime, give me a call and we can chat about what I have done. I agree, I think it is the #1 way to sell franchises, and will continue to believe it until I’m proven wrong!!!! Do you know how Chem-Dry sold over 5000 franchisees in The US along??

I’ll take you up on the cold beer, but I still need some time before I fly west again. I’m with you on late payers, but corporate is on us as S O. all the time, about our people being late and getting them to pay on time, I think that is up to corporate to “practice what they preach” to us, get all S.O. to pay into Advertising fund on time!!!!! We need not worry about that, Our energy and efforts need to be on sales.
I also can not agree with you enough, if only 5 or even 10 S.O. are active on this board them we need some serious changes, Corporate knows how I feel about this, so I now share with the rest of S. O. You need to put in many hours a week to make this work, The more hours we all put in, the more we will all succeed. Nobody, including Corporate will sell more franchises in your state or country then you the S. O. if you put in the effort.
