After looking at tons of ramps for my van or should I say my back, I decided to make a prototype. I have a ford econoline with the sliding side door. I made some measurments and designed a folding ramp that attatches to the floor at the door way. Why I did not not do this 10 years ago I don’t know. I made this ramp out of wood. I will try to post a photo of it in the near future. Looking for a ramp that was user friendly posed a problem, not to mention the prices of some of the malformed ramps. It folds as you lift it and latches to the safety screen for a secure fit. I am going to improve this ramp in the near future.
Gary, would love to see what you’ve come up with. We’ve been discussing this as well.
