Hi everyone! I belong to a networking group (BNI), and we just added a chimney sweep/mason to our membership. He wants to talk to me about cleaning the fallout on the rare occasions that some of the soot/creosote makes its way past the protective drop cloth and onto the carpet. I need to be ready when this young man calls, and quite frankly, the down side (making it worse) frightens me. Any suggestions or experiences?? John or Cody??? Thanks!!

shouldn’t be a problem. Vacuum very thoroughly first though.

    JoAnn,
Soot will usually vacuum up quite well. After vacuuming if any remains you can clean it out with our regular system, or if it has been ground into the base of the carpet you may need to use your upholstery unit. Pro spotter will work well, or if needed you can use the filtration line cleaner. Our quick boost mixed with hot water works well on any residue that is left after vacuuming. Yes it cleans up well even if the carpet is white.
