Hi everyone what is the life span of our cleaning pads i know it depends on how much you use them just how can you tell when its time for new ones? Thank you all!

Cody says that each set should produce about 20,000 worth of busines. Has anyone found an effective way to figure this out?

One way to tell is to keep some new pads, and occassionally use one of them with the others pads. If it does better then the older ones it’s time to donate the old ones to the animal shelter. If there is some difference, but not bad, you may what to buy new ones and use the older ones for the property management and restuarant jobs. Keeping the best pads for the best jobs!

I have several customers that have dirty, oily, black carpet. I only use the old pads on their carpets as the pads will always look like they were just used at the previous job. May require an additional pass or two but they pay dearly for the work I do so additional time is not an issue or lost dollars.

You can see the wear on the fibers and they will not grip the drive plate.

I will say this. New pads are a must for sure. Some of us keep the old pads for commercial jobs. I tried that and it did not give me the results I wanted fast enough. I am going to buy a 2 more boxes of new pads and use the old pads to help slide furniture around as needed. Now the woven turf pads have held up quite well but I think I will invest in a new box of those anyway.
