I know this has happened to all of us. We show up to a customers house only to have no one home, or the customer is home but forgot about the appointment. Reminder calls help A LOT, but i’m horrible at doing them. I was thinking of hiring a 3rd party company to handle all of my reminder calls. Does anybody know of such company that offers this?

Update: I did some research online and found three companies that offered this service:
    voiceshot.com
    apptoto.com
    appointmentreminder.org

We wear so many dang hats but to outsource reminder calls is just an added expense. When you know the customer has a cell phone you may want to text them a reminder message asking them to respond with a C to confirm, R to reschedule or X to cancel. I have done this in the past and it seems to work.

I usually call when i get ready to leave the job on on or my house, and give them an eta. that has saved me a wasted trip a few times, i also email an appointment letter so that way i we had a muisundestanding they can call and we can fix the situation.

I have had those no-show issues in the past. For the past few years I call prior to going over to confirm. At the time I make the appointment, I tell them that I will call prior to coming over to confirm. Has worked out pretty good overall…
