Have any of you ever had your buffer stay on while trying to shut it down. It happend to me once and I had to keep trying. Has this happened to any of you? Why? and how did you fix it?

    Try adjusting your start button.

Yes I have. First, make sure all your wires are securely connected behind the black plate on your buffer. This helped us for a while, but didn’t solve the problem. We then replaced the “black box” and that solved the problem.

Has happened several time over the years. twice, the trigger switch in the handle went bad. Or- the screws holding the switch in place came loose and the switch needed adjusting and screws tightened.. Every now and then the twist handle sticks- and for a second it freaks me out-thinking that the switch has gone bad.

Part 3003 C ($6.89) is the one we replaced that has to date fixed our problem of the buffer not shutting off.

Which buffer are you using. This would happen with the older matador buffers. Simply adjust the switch. Other one I don’t know.

Well, we got our 5th buffer delivered, problems with the sticking button on a few machines and then a rhythmic noise in the machine when it was working, with a load. Nobles was good to replace due to related problems.

Something about a squeaky wheel comes to mind…in any event Big John and their supplier worked well to solve or problem, withno major glitches.

Only one issue left which they will not resolve, since I am not going to complain. the plastic buffer driver pad they provide free is worthless. Take the red brristle pad any day over it. Have it as a spare if required.
