Hi, welcome to the new Heaven’s Best Forum. You will notice that this one is quite different from our old one. The new forum has a lot of new features and advantages over the old one. One of the most useful things about the new forum is the ability to search the forum. At the top there is a search button, you can use it to search for one item, or multiple items, within a certain date, and within a certain topic.
Other features include polls, personal messaging, signatures, avatars (little pictures), smilies, images posted in the forums, and html support.
All of these items are configurable in your profile.
Avatar. The avatar is the little picture next to your name when you post messages. It can be 80×80 in size and up to 6kb. You can upload them to our server, or host your own.
Signature. You can add a signature to all of your posts. This can be anything you want and can include images and html.
The rest is pretty self explanatory. Web page, always show e-mail address, msn username. If you don’t have one, or don’t want to put one, then leave it blank.
Other forum info.
Closed – the topic cannot be replied to.
Sticky – The current topic stays at the top of the list, regardless of how old the last reply is.
Announcement – An announcement has been made.You can edit you post after you have written it. To edit a post go to the post you want to edit, and click the edit button. You can only edit your own posts.
When a topic receives a reply it goes to the top of the forum list. So, the older ones move down the list. As long as a topic is receiving replies, it will continue to stay towards the top of the list. This is to keep active and hot topics in the center of attention, with the slow or dead topics being weeded out.
Currently only the admins are able to use the polling feature. If for some reason you need to use a poll, drop me a e-mail.
