So I have a meeting with a lady today to talk about a maintance agrement on a senior living place (10158 sq ft common areas), she just accepted the bid to have the facilitys cleaned (my first time there 😀 ) During the phone converstation she started talking about breaking it up into a few months to ease the budjet wich is what she usually does with the old carpet cleaner ( service master 😈 ). wich led me into my sales pitch of the maintance agreament. I told her usualy I wait till after I do a restoritve clean and the client is completely happy with the work before I mention the service contract we offer but since she brought it up we should meet face to face to discuss a program.
And now I am having to bid blind. I really wish I had some hands on time with this pile lifter. Any body out there that has one I would appreaceate some quick feed back. Is 2000 sq ft an hour an accurate assasment after a person gets used to operating the machine?May 7, 2012 at 8:06 pm #155471AnonymousInactiveSo they finally got the parts and said they should start shipping this week and next.
May 8, 2012 at 5:19 pm #155472AnonymousInactiveAny news as to wether the pile lifters were shipped yet or not? Just checking!!!
May 8, 2012 at 5:38 pm #155473AnonymousInactiveI talked to them this morning she said they were going to get them out by fri
May 12, 2012 at 9:23 pm #155455AnonymousInactiveI got my pile brush yesterday. Wow! Looks very nice. Used it on my clean garage carpet and discovered that it will require some strength to operate. Too soon tell, but I think it will be a great addition to my commercial cleaning equip. I hope that the time used with the pile brush will save cleaning time and product while restoring high traffic areas to a higher level of clean. Heavy, ground in soil on commercial carpet has always been a struggle for me. This should make my job easier and the customer even more happy!

May 16, 2012 at 6:30 pm #155475hbottumwaParticipantHas anyone else received theirs yet? I will have mine paid for in the first week it arrives. Yea, I’m a little envious.
May 19, 2012 at 9:58 pm #155476hbottumwaParticipantJust received my PB! I got it at 2:15 PM Friday, Used it on my living room showing my manager how to use it. (looks good) At 3pm took my family camping. Got back Saturday 2pm. My manager cleaned 1/3 part of a $1980. job last night starting at 5pm. My text message from him stated… “The pile brush is awesome! The carpets look almost new just with the pile brush!”
Note: The carpets are 4 years old, steam cleaned twice, light colored tan Berber weave. There was “Ugly Out” in some areas already. The rest of the carpet is 1/3 blue and 1/3 tan nylon.
This is how we have priced this contract: $1980.00 first time clean. They have custodial vacuum nightly. We will use the pile brush on heavy traffic areas and spot clean weekly, Low moisture clean monthly in same heavy traffic area, and clean the whole place every 4 months and charge $480.00 monthly after the $1980.00 first cleaning. $7,740. for first 12 months!
It’s a lot easier to do maintenance cleaning than restorative cleaning. As I learned from Orlando International Seminar… Create enough commercial cleaning to pay your monthly expenses and the rest is all profit!!!! This is the first of three places already committed to do our program. More to come!!! I love this business!!!May 22, 2012 at 7:10 am #155477AnonymousInactiveIve used my pile brosh on 60% of the jobs that I have gotten, for about a week now. on one comercial carpet I have had bi-monthly for over 2 years now, looked just like it did when I finished cleaning it 2 months ago, the overall cleanleness when when finished this time far exceeded my normal “clean”. The time spent on buffing the carpet has been reduced considerbly, although it does still take a litte longer taking into acount the extra step but the results far exceed the time. Tomorow I will cut the curd on the PB wich will save time on the overall prosscess. the other reason the times are taking aonger is because my customers want to talk about the new tow ( i do to 😀 ) that and we keep stoping to check the trap and the bag, not because we need or have to but because were so impressed by it. definatly glad we got one! highly recomend one to those that are considering.
May 22, 2012 at 4:56 pm #155478hbottumwaParticipantManager/operator text (second night) “The pile brush is a time saver, and it helps things look pretty close to new again”
P.S. He said “He can’t believe he’s getting paid for the upper body work out.”May 24, 2012 at 1:50 am #155479IN33ParticipantHi All,
For those who have this unit, do you find you use it much in residential jobs?
Thanks!
May 24, 2012 at 5:08 am #155480AnonymousInactiveI used it in a rental the other night, the landlord vaccumed very well, thought i would try the pile lifter based on the matting being beaten down, I was very impresed with the sand, a few bb’s 2 nails in the large item catch, and the amount of dust and lint in the bag was crazy too. I have brought iot into residential homes and the customers were very impressed with our vacume on steriods. i will try to get some pics up tomorow of some residential stuff.
May 24, 2012 at 9:05 pm #155481hbottumwaParticipantYes, entry ways, mud packed areas, front of couch, and anywhere else it’s matted for that matter. I can’t say this about many things, but this tool is worth the time saved, money spent, and overall look and feel of the carpet. In the carpets it doesn’t make look new, it greatly improves… Check for the direction of the pile. “Dry extract”, lift the pile, and remove dirt and grime all in one action, then low moisture clean. You know that feeling you get when not only the customer is impressed but so are you? Got to try it.
June 26, 2012 at 6:18 pm #155482hbottumwaParticipantI can’t believe more operators are not commenting about the pile brush. We are having great success! Thursday was the “Due date” for my managers first child. So, I cleaned Thursday and Friday. (Healthy baby boy!) A vacant apt, lite blue carpet, 5/8′- 3/4′” pile, 420sf. She vacuumed. I vacuumed, them used the pile brush. The “trap” had a hand full of sand, two paper clips, and a 1″ screw. The carpet after cleaning looked new, except where I couldn’t pile brush in the 3’X12′ hall very well.(pile leans toward the wall) It still showed a little grayish. She (moving out) was impressed enough to give me a cash tip of $20! Manager, Momma, and baby Paysen Alex are all doing fine!
July 8, 2012 at 10:26 pm #155483AnonymousInactiveI used Sutton’s pile brush on a job that the owner was thinking about tearing up the carpet. It was a good chance for me to see the results on a very tough job. It took just as long or a bit longer to complete the job but the results were terrific! I buffed a bit less, used less products and got better results. This thing brings about some great possibilities.
