I came across a pamphlet that was produced by another carpet cleaning company in the area. The technician gives it to the customer prior to the cleaning.
It’s basically a disclaimer educating the customer on what to expect from a cleaning such as stain removal, pet stains and odor treatment, filtration line cleaning and the benefits of fabric protector. I was very impressed with it and will definitly be making up a similiar pamphlet for my customers. I scanned and attached the pamphlet to this posting. Not sure if I did it right. If anyone would like me to email it to them please let me know.

While something like this is educational for the customer, in my opinion, should any issues arise the carpet cleaner is still on the hook, so to speak, as there is no place for the customer to acknowledge their understanding with their signature. We already have a “Waiver and Disclaimer” form. I have yet to use it, however, something has been telling me to pull it, tweek it a bit and start using it. Your post serves as reminder.

I think I mispoke when I classified the pamphlet as a “disclaimer”. I am not intending to use it as a disclaimer. It is my intention to use it to educate the customer. That’s it. It’s a good EDUCATIONAL piece.
