InactiveHi Dave,
The bags I have found here are made by HomeCare #3317 and it’s designed to fit Hoover machines. The type is A. I find them for .97 and there are 3 in the bag. So the cost per bag is about .32/bag. They work great and for the cost and convenience it is well worth it to me. When I go to Walmart, I wipe them out of the bags buying 10 at a time.
Hope all is well.
Bryan

ParticipantI have found the best solution to be a little bit more spendy but makes a world of difference. I invested in an air compresser. First, knock all of the loose dirt into the cup. I then blow the bag out very thoroughly. If you have an extention on the hose, you can eliminate the dirt in the top of the bag when the metal fitting is taken off. I usually run the vacuum to help flush the system out too. I used to have the problem with the bag popping up on one of the corners. However, since I now use the air compressor, I just pull the bag out, blow the dirt out of the plastic ring and voulaa we are ready for another hard days work. Also works great with the portavac. This way I don’t have to move dirt twice.

ParticipantActually if you are UPWIND of the dust, no problem. If no wind, you can create it with the air from the hose, works awesome!

ParticipantMuch easier to remove bag and replace and no puff when starting up and dust and whatever out of the sight of the customer….great idea though. Thanks..

ParticipantSince I remove the metal fitting from the top of the bag, I have NEVER had a problem with the puff, and I am confident in starting the vacuum in front of the customer every time.
