In the seminar in DesMoines, IA, Loren Turner said after trying everything, he removed Hair Dye from the carpet with (drum roll please) Word Stain Remover #118. Who knew.

Yes Gordon, I have eliminated word stains many times. However, it didn’t remove the foot that was in my mouth. 😛

To clarify, it was the wood stain remover that I used on black hair dye. It didn’t remove it entirely but the customer was thrilled that only a small amount of greyness was left. I tried everything else without any change so I tried the wood stain remover. She did use dish soap and water to remove as much as she could before I got there the next day.

Yea, yea, yea. The more I do and the longer and harder I work , the more I realize how imperfect I am. The word “word” in my above post should read “wood” stain remover. In spite of all my imperfections, it was a great seminar.

Loren when you removed the hair dye with the wood stain remover, did you cover the stain with plastic like removing wood stain or did you use heat from an iron like mustard stain removal?
    Thanks.

I just used the heat to remove it like red dye remover. The hair dye was black and was in the doorway of the bathroom. I extracted as much that would come out and found the wood stain remover did the trick after trying everything else. One spot was still a bit dark and there was a little bit of graying of the original color but the customer was very happy. it took multiple tries to get it where I was happy with the result.

Thanks Loren. This house is occupied at the moment. I will not be able to get in there until next week. I will let you know how it turns out.
    Thanks again.
