Just wondered if people wanted to comment on their favorite pad. My favorite is the woven one that is # 208 in our HB store. I use the dirtnapper with it most of the time. Results are stellar(mostly). What do you use,and why ?

January 3, 2008 at 1:51 am #151193CJonesParticipantHappy New Year to Everyone!! I usually use the regular green stripe pad (I believe #201) with the dirt napper first, then follow with the green woven turf pad using the regular buffing drive plate, then finish with a towel if necessary. This has worked very well for us!!

January 8, 2008 at 12:06 am #151195KS07ParticipantWoven turf pad always. I use the wooden plate dirt-knapper brush plates. I have a couple of different brush plates that are used for different types of carpet and conditions. In total I have 7 different brush plates. (kinda like having different hammers for different types of nailing purposes) I have used the regular pads and have a good to simular results as with woven turf pads. But the one thing that keeps me buying the woven turf pad is that they last longer than the regular pad. It’s an economic issue with me more than anything else. Regular pads have a shorter life span. I have been in business now just about 5 years and just recently threw away my orignal woven turf pads. They were definitely shot for sure. I rotate the older pads to the type of work that has tons of dirt and use a prescrubs. The older ones still work but just don’t look as great anymore. (kinda like me I guess…. )

I can’t get my woven turfs to fit in the napper. Did you have to modify anything?
January 9, 2008 at 3:17 pm #151197KS07ParticipantI use the “wooden” dirt knapper brush plate. The woven turf pads fit just fine under this particular brush plate. These brush plates are a special order product and because of this the delivery times are lengthy. These brush plates are a bit aggressive and can cause damage to furniture and baseboards. But that being said, I would use them over the current standard issue dirt knapper plate any day…
January 9, 2008 at 10:47 pm #151198AnonymousInactiveDitto to what the hocky nut says. I have a wooden dirtnapper that is larger diameter with longer bristles and the woven pad fits great under it. Keep it off the wall trim and it will clean up the filtration lines fairly well. Talk with John Steiner at Corporate.

March 8, 2011 at 2:31 am #151201Steven WelchParticipantwe use the woven turf with the dirt napper on almost 95% of all jobs, but we like the blue mf for the stairs. when I need to order new pads I’ll probly try the blue ones.
March 12, 2011 at 2:09 am #151202AnonymousInactiveThe MF blue pad are good. I use different pads depending on how high the carpet pile is. The MF pads are great for very low pile carpet or commercial carpet.
March 24, 2011 at 12:24 pm #151203AnonymousInactiveUsed the MF pad yesterday at a home with large furry dog. I vacuumed and vacuumed until I thought I got most of the fur out.
I then used the MF pad and was amazed at all the fur that came up out of the carpet, I literally could have made wigs for all of the hair challenged guys of Heavens Best!March 24, 2011 at 7:53 pm #151204AnonymousInactiveI resemble that remark!!! 😆 😆
March 25, 2011 at 12:39 am #151205AnonymousInactiveThe MF pad does wonders when you are cleaning a carpet with pet hair. I also will use that pad to wipe down upholstery while cleaning. That too will take off hair from long haired pets. 💡
