    After stepping on the cord on the upholstery mate and pulling it out of the machine a few times, I found an easy fix. Take a zip tie and zip it tightly to the handle post on the Mate. Any pulling on the electrical cord then is transferred to the handle and not the connection to the machine. It works great and costs less than a nickle.

    Stepped on mine and ripped it right out of there. I then tied a overhand knot in the cord so it wouldn’t pull thru again. Plenty of room to do it.
