For those operators whose spouses don’t actively participate in the day to day operations of the business (see actual carpet cleaning), here are 2 pieces of advice for you if your spouse decides to help you with the cleaning one day:
1. Do not take them to clean a trashed house (extreme soiling, heavy pet urine contamination, etc) unless you want them to never help you out ever again.
2. Do not take them to the multi-million dollar house that has a 400 sq foot master closet (if spouse is female) or pimped out movie room/man cave (if your spouse is a male).
Trust me. That is all.
I suppose the 400 SF walk in closet was full and contained over 400 pairs of shoes…? Well, that’s one way to find out if your spouse REALLY LOVES YOU. Remodeling the house while living in it is another…
Once or twice a year I take mine with me to a larger job on a weekend or night that needs 2 people to get it done in a reasonable time. This is usually a reality check and there is an understanding of the scope of the work that we go thru on a daily basis.
