Beware of Cleaning America Industry

Jut got a call from a company called Cleaning America Industry. Right from the start something didn’t seem right to me when I heard the guy on the other end. Very unprofessional and I think it is probably a scam. A man by the name of Willy Drewery with a phone number of 919-593-6459 called and said he had a shoe store here in Charlotte that had a bathroom flood and they needed immediate cleanup in the morning (it was 7:30 PM at the time). Said he sub contracts work all over the country and needed a quote right then to be able to give me the job and that I would need to clean it at 9:00 AM and invoice him the bill. I of course told him that was not possible with the situation given and that I would like to see the store’s problem first to be able to give an accurate quote. I asked if I could check out his company website, where they were based, and found that he didn’t want to answer those questions. I turned down the work of course and found online that he posts ads on any free classifieds online and quotes prices on those ads in all parts of the country, then subs out the work. Seems like a rip off and it would be too easy for him to take the payment from the customer and not pay you. Just thought I would warn everyone to beware of any shady looking company like this and wanted to provide you all with the phone and name of the person who contacted me. Hope this saves any headache in the future for anyone who wouldn’t see through it. Take Care.
