As we descend on fall and the holidays, your presence on the Internet in multiple facets could become more important at this time of the year to keep that train going full force.

This month, we have included Google local service ads again, which is doing tremendous for many of you. As I talk to people on a daily basis I am extremely inspired to hear the success that those are having with this program. I am encouraging all of you to look at this new opportunity that Google has given you. EZ LOCAL WILL ASSIST YOU ALL TO GET SET UP ON THIS PROGRAM AT NO CHARGE IF YOU NEED HELP. We have asked for this assistance for all of their Heaven’s Best clients.We have put in the past several months of newsletters that we would highly encourage you to explore the Google Local Service Ads opportunity. Everyone Dan Child and I have talked to is having great success with this program. There are franchisees out there that are actually switching over to this program, versus the Google Ad Words campaigns that they have had.

I hope everyone is doing well and getting busier with the change of weather. Google has a new advertising campaign that is called Google Local Service Ads, which is pay per call instead of pay per click. Google does a free background check and verifies each business insurance and license. This new service is getting greater exposure and pops up on the side advertising the business that is Google Certified. Their contact number is 1-833-272-1444. You can also access it online, but it is easier to let a representative walk you through it.
An advantage of this service is you can narrow the exposure to a specific area, so that you are not paying for leads outside your area. Plan on setting your budget high, for example, mine is set at $400 per week. I only paid $66.00 my first week and was able to book 6 jobs. You will have an app on your phone that you will be able to monitor it daily. My son in Long Beach had his budget set at $700 per week, but only used 25% of his budget and was able to book the majority of the leads. There is an advantage to setting the budget high to get the most exposure, but you can decrease the budget at anytime”

Corporate Website

Please take note of the National Video Company that EZ Local has partnered with. We have negotiated down a very reasonable price, if you would like to customize and personalize your website and have professional video content on your website. We will be doing some work on the corporate side with this company as well. I feel strongly that they will be able to help the entire franchise system as a whole.

The corporate website fixes have all been completed and everything has been moved into one location to make it more efficient for you all. All of your monthly reports that have been delayed since the beginning of the year can now be put in, and should be put in, as soon as possible. As you will notice there are more boxes to fill out on the monthly report. We are not asking you to fill out to the last dollar on all of the numbers, but as close as possible, and for those of you that do dryer and duct cleaning as a Heavens Best service, you will just have to wait until we get another box or two added for your totals, but at least you can input all of your flooring and Upholstery numbers right now. The only thing left on the corporate login that has not been moved yet is the Heavens Best ads website.

Van Wrap

From an advertising perspective and the look of your storefront, we are continuing to have great success in the remarks we are hearing back from you on the new van wrap. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of how well your storefront looks. We want your van and storefronts to really stand out, especially when you’re parked in front of customer’s homes and all of their neighbors can see your van.

Seminars 2020

We are trying to finalize this coming month’s seminars for 2020. We have asked for ideas and suggestions on what you would like to see at the seminars, and we have had very few responses. The seminars are for all of us and for us to help you all out to make that phone ring and to refresh your mind on items that maybe you have not been trained on in a number of years.
Please take a moment and think about what service that you would like to learn more on, or have been lacking on upselling your customers to, and let us know so we can assist. If at all possible, we might try to live stream some of these seminars via webinar.

John’s Fix-It Corner

As I go through life and meet people, I find so many good people that go out of their way to treat you well, and are honest in all they do. These are the kind of people that if they give you their word it’s as good as a contract. These are the same people who give you the keys to their house and leave a blank check on the counter for you to fill in and everything is great. But we don’t all live in Pleasantville.

When you go into a home to do a job, take time to look it over and see if there are any red flags. When you talk with your customers, listen to what they say. The things that they say to you can raise a red flag. i.e.: Do you have insurance? Will you clean just one cushion? Will you guarantee that the spot will come out? You get my drift.  If you feel that there is a potential problem you don’t have to accept the job.  Trust your instincts – if other operators have turned down the job, maybe there is a good reason.

One way to help protect yourself is to use a digital camera and take pictures of your jobs. Download them on your computer and keep them for one or two months. Then, if a problem arises, you can go back and pull up the pictures. A picture is worth more than a hundred good words.  If they see you taking pictures, they will be less likely to give you problems.  They will know you have proof to dispute what isn’t true.

Another good reason to take pictures is that you will have some before and after shots to show your customers. They will be so impressed to see what a great job you can do.  A little forward thinking can help you both coming and going.  Besides, a great digital camera can be a lot of fun on a cruise!

Seminars are here again!!!

We are wanting to get our yearly seminars back to a normal course of business. With that in mind, we are needing to know what training would you like at these seminars. We have some exact dates already set for seminars in North Carolina on February 7, and in the Nebraska area March 20. We are planning more of these to be somewhere in your area in the spring of 2020.

Picture Time!

We would ask all of our great operators as they are cleaning to please take some before and after pictures of your jobs.
We would like some pictures of your carpeted floors, tile and grout, wood and upholstery, etc. When you take these pictures, please make sure that they are from the same angle, so that we can line the two up side to side. Please send your pictures to Sarah at proofs@heavensbest.com

These pictures are also valuable for you; you can print them off and make a presentation for when you go out to sell your services. Remember: a picture is worth a thousand words.
