Happy March!

Happy early Spring to everyone,

With the winter hopefully behind us, and great weather to come, now is the time to really get ready with our advertising, social media, reminders, and everything else for the kick-off to our season.

We are attending a number of Franchise Shows this year to promote our brand, and to help continue to grow in a positive direction.

At the corporate office, we are really trying to ramp up our social media posts and likes and increase our footprint out there. It will benefit all of us to like each other’s pages and to follow and share one another’s posts.

We are increasing our web presence from a social media and from the Heavensbest.com website and landing pages, we have also joined the nation’s largest veteran-friendly organization to promote our brand to our military veterans.

As a reminder, we are still promoting the referral fee for the sale of a new exclusive territory. We have just signed on with one of the nation’s largest franchise brokerage firm for new sales and for resales of areas upon notification. They obviously charge a commission as a brokerage firm, and we would much rather pay it out to you guys than to them. Reach out to me (Robert) if you have a question on a resale situation.

We cannot emphasize enough on having you look at Google local service ads for your area.

We have put in the past several months of newsletters that we would highly encourage you to explore the Google Local Service Ads opportunity. Everyone Dan Child and I have talked to is having great success with this program. There are franchisees out there that are actually switching over to this program, versus the Google Ad Words campaigns that they have had.

“Dear California Franchise Owners,
I hope everyone is doing well and getting busier with the change of weather. Google has a new advertising campaign that is called Google Local Service Ads, which is pay per call instead of pay per click. Google does a free background check and verifies each business insurance and license. This new service is getting greater exposure and pops up on the side advertising the business that is Google Certified. Their contact number is 1-833-272-1444. You can also access it online, but it is easier to let a representative walk you through it.
An advantage of this service is you can narrow the exposure to a specific area, so that you are not paying for leads outside your area. Plan on setting your budget high, for example, mine is set at $400 per week. I only paid $66.00 my first week and was able to book 6 jobs. You will have an app on your phone that you will be able to monitor it daily. My son in Long Beach had his budget set at $700 per week, but only used 25% of his budget and was able to book the majority of the leads. There is an advantage to setting the budget high to get the most exposure, but you can decrease the budget at anytime”

“I can’t believe the difference ez local has made the past week. I rarely got estimates for on line the past 2 days I’ve gotten 5. I get that many in a month with Eznettools ………”

We continue to have monthly franchise advisory board meetings, and I have spoken in the past about there is new technology and equipment coming very soon, such as a new orbital cleaning machine for carpet and tile, a CRB machine (which is a counter-rotating brush machine) for the carpet and tile, a new and improved type of Water Claw, a new patent-pending Upholstery Wand, and new extractor machines. Once we get a little lower on our inventory with the Hoover, we will be moving to another brand (but will still have parts for the Hoover). Please look on the store as Hoover is going to be discounted some more.

Please check the Heaven’s Best store for our new promotional items, and new attire items for both men and women, that will be added over the next couple of weeks.

Seminars

We are planning a few seminars in 2020. We would like ALL of you to come and join us for one. It is a great time to learn and meet together. The map shows the States that will be meeting together for the seminars.

EZlocal has added Foursquare as a new data aggregator in Local Listing Distribution.

Reputation Management: Google Q&A Monitoring

What is it?

You will have the ability to monitor all questions and answers from Google Q&A. Respond to questions and ask and answer helpful FAQ for your customers from within Reputation in your EZlocal dashboard.

Why is it important?

Google Q&A is another highly visible way for customers and the public to interact with businesses online. Just like with online reviews, it is important to monitor and respond to Google Q&A activity. Any Google user can write a question and any Google user can answer that question. This makes it lucrative that Heaven’s Best operators are alerted to new questions so they can be the first to respond.

Google Q&A allows you to:

– Create meaningful communication with current and potential customers
– Have an effortless exchange of requests, advice, and help
– Highlight your most important FAQs to save time for you and customers
– Avoid confusing or wrong information about your business
– Capture data about customer needs and desires
– Boost rankings in search results

This new feature will be available early March, 2020 to all Heaven’s Best accounts signed on with EZlocal.

John’s Fix-it Corner

We’re in the new year and the busy season is starting soon. Part of having a successful business is putting in the time that is required to make it work. Don’t rely on your old contact customers. You will need to talk to realtors, property managers, home shows, or even go door to door. See if you can put it in your church bulletin. There are many ways to increase your business without spending a lot of money on expensive advertising. This includes putting in at least 40 hours a week working hard at building your business.

If you find that you’re not as busy as you’d like to be, and not making the kind of money you know you should be – take a look at what you can do to change it.

  1. Can you be more creative in your advertising?
  2. Have you changed to the new look?  Get the new logos and advertising helps from the website to update your advertising.
  3. Are you beating the bushes for new business?  Is there a market you haven’t tapped yet?
  4. Are you reading the bulletin boards for help from those that are successful?
  5. Have you asked your current customers for referrals?  Have you given them any incentives for those referrals?

Set yourself some goals for this year and make an outline of how you are going to accomplish those goals.  Remember that anything worth having is worth working hard for.  The potential for greatness is there if you are willing to work for it.

Note:  I just got lost in thought, it was unfamiliar territory.
