    Depending on the color of the carpet you could try to color/bleach the carpet.

    The original post stated it was white carpet. Purchase a bleach pen and try a very small area.

    I have only used this method once on a small area yet it worked.

    The leather is pigmented. The customer stated the last tech “spray painted” a pillow. They were really surprised when they noticed a watermark since they have spilled things on the sofa in the past. The mother stated the child was really wet and maybe had sun screen on.

    Dave – thanks for the reminder to read the old post. I remember reading it months ago. It was a great refresher.

    I have been with Guardsman for a week and a half. Three jobs where two of them are leather. Guardsman pays $165 for a successful leather cleaning.

    I have a customer who purchased a cheap, deep red pillow for her sofa. The dye rubbed off onto the sofa. I used FAE, 101 and portable extract. I got about 75% off yet there is still a light red tint.

    Should I really use the red dye remover on a microfiber sofa?

    Dirtbag,

    Would you share how you quote out a movie theater? Do you clean everyseat or do a walk through with a manager and pick the dirtier seats?

    My Verizon yellow page ad comes out in Nov. I paid $390 month for a quarter page. Since I am a newbie I have no idea of the payback yet after reading the boards I have already incorporated ‘how did you hear about us’ into my initial conversation with customers. I will keep a record and use data to determine next year’s marketing dollars.

    I am very happy with my ad and the Verizon team did the design using our new logos. If anyone would like a copy to view – send me an email and I will send attachment.

    Andrew,

    I hope all is well in Harrisburg. I have been slow to market (van is on its way) yet as you and I discussed in training I am advertising packages – Silver, Gold and Platinum.

    I offer the anti-bacterial and pet smell removal in the Gold package and include protectant in the Platinum. I try to incoportate as many of the solutions into package options as possible. Customers must see a need. Do they have pets? Children? Push the sanitation, allergenic angle. New house or new furniture? Push the benefits of prolonged life of carpet with protectant.

    I also have single add-ons yet each customer is different. I charge 35 cents a sq/ft or $49 a room. When someone asks about upholstery I ask questions before giving them a quote and if they are on the fence I informed one customer that I was running a September special of 10% off if upholstery cleaning is $150 or more. I got the job. Total job was $420 plus.

    I came up with some great Yellow Page ads that hit the market in November. Give me call sometime (267-625-6665).
