I think, we as state owners need to be aware (and monitor) what our operators are saying on this board. I think we should be calling them on the phone when we read something that is controversial. Ask them what troubles them and how to improve that problem. Their ideas an opinions are what could also help improve and grow this franchise. On a lesser note it will, hopefully, avoid some of the negative comments being posted on the board.

Thanks for everyones comments. Like Gordon has said, state owners do not recieve any kind of a discount on the new logos. We also do not make any money on the new logos. That being said my transition cost me around $4000. Two van wraps, uniforms, equipment logos, business cards, etc. If you’re sceptical you shouldn’t be. The new look far surpasses the old one and the quality of the new logos are great.

I’d say as state owners we should all be wearing the new HB shirts. We are trying to encourage our operators to make the transition.

Let me start off by saying in my business I expect the best and nothing less. Those of you who have met or worked with me know that. With that being said, here’s what I know about the new van wraps. Both my vans(Ford full size) are wrapped and they look awsome. If you get up close you can see a few flaws in the install but from a couple of feet away you cant. I also know that other national franchise logos, up close, look the same if not worse. The wraps are quality-It really comes down to you the operator, makng sure that whoever you have do the install knows what they’re doing. Since I have made the transition to the new wraps, my “van” lead source in quick books has been 4x greater than the previous couple of months before the switch. Not only that but the wraps have already paid for themselves-both vans! There is no reason everyone shouldn’t make the change. It will only increase your business. I’d go as far as to guarantee it.

I agree with Cody. I try to order new pads one or two times a year. New pads not only look better, but they clean alot more effectivly and efficiently. As for washing them I use a commercial laundry and use hot water with a 3-5 oz. detergent and 2-3 oz. of bleach.

Not booked, slacker, young punk, loser. But I will be there, mark my words, if I have to fly American in the very back of the plane where it’s so loud you can feel your teeth rattling in your mouth, and next to me a screaming baby, on the other side of me a pucking air sick passenger not to mention no food or drink (I’ll be ready to kill someone) but I’ll be there.

Water claws are awsome! They are a great tool with multiple uses. They can be a little spendy but well worth the investment-I cant wait to get one. Hurry up John and get us all hooked up. Tell them you’ll be coming over there with your potatoe gun if they dont agree to your pricing demands!

Hey Mike- I’m a member too. I even have little logos on the vans and they too draw in attention. I advertise in the BBB yellowpages as well and that ad pays for itself and the yearly fee. Definatly recommend joining.

Unfortunatly you can’t force them but you can use strong words. I explain to my operators that this seminar is technically “optional” but really it’s more like “required”. You could tell them that the corporate office is going to frown upon franchises who dont go unless they have a good reason. Also you could say, This is an impotant seminar and to miss it will definatly hurt your business. I have been talking to my operators and they have all said they are going, however I have not confirmed reservations with corporate. I agree that the operators who attend will be the ones really motivated to make something of their businesses.

Hey Dennis- I think I’m gonna “rent one of those machines” and clean the carpets myself. I hear they do a great job and leave very little water or residue behind. But thanks for the offer. I crack myself up!

Hey DB congrats on the new operator. I, like Laura, am in the process of moving and have not had any time to look at the board. I’ll have more time next week after we settle into the new place. Hope everyone is doing well.

Lorrain, Thank you for the info on the packets. I will be ordering a few of them and having them shipped to my operators. Cody, I definatly think it would be great for all of the state owners to receive a copy of the new packet.

Hey Lorrain, Welcome to the board. Thanks for your input. I feel there is a need to discuss the current system in place for internet advertising, and I’m sure it will be discussed at the seminar. I myself am going to request that any leads coming into corporate for my state be forwarded to me so I can handle all of the potential buyers. I really like the idea of getting packets into the hands of each one of my operators. I would like to see what the new packets look like. Again, it’s great to have you on the BB, lets see if we can get more state owners invoved.

Hey John. I sent in an email to Cody with my numbers for Kentucky. Did we ever figure out how much the meals (lunches & Banquet) were going to cost? I dont know about everyone else but this month seems to have been busy for me.
