I agree with Ron here. What you want are some less common adwords, but try and come up with closer to 200 of them. Although they are not searched as much as “carpet cleaning” you will be able to bring in a comparative number of visitors that are more likely to convert to leads. You can also bid on mispelled words. Use caution though because mispelled words can also cost more than real words. But something like
“upolstery cleaning tacoma”
might be a good keyword to have in your list.
tn16ParticipantI would say that Mike has the right idea. You’ll likely get the best results from people who have come into contact with you before. Just make sure they have an option to be removed from the mailing list.
tn16ParticipantThe updated invoice is completed and can be downloaded using the link below:

I have also placed a link on the main operators only page as well as the city owners section. Any feedback you have is welcome.
tn16ParticipantGreg, just a heads up on the hosting fee. $20 hosting should get you excellent service, but if he is reselling I doubt its that great. Some good hosts at a great price are these two:
http://www.hostgator.com
http://www.siteground.comEven godaddy would be a bit cheaper, but I’ve been consistently unimpressed with godaddy’s hosting services.
Your web designer may be giving you a great design price in hopes to make his money back by getting you to sign a 2 year hosting contract. I would also ask how much he plans to charge for requests to make updates and changes. Just a few things to watch out for. If you review some of the larger hosting websites you’ll see that $15 will buy some of their top packages.
tn16ParticipantI’ve adjusted the original template to allow for a customer message to show on each invoice when you use the “customer message” field when you write out the invoice. Any additional disclaimers, cautions, etc. could go there I believe. Let me know if you think otherwise.
tn16ParticipantThis is now posted under “Targeted Ads” on the Heavens Best Advertising website. The name of the document is “Mike Nowlin’s Commercial Packet”. A big thanks to Mike.
tn16ParticipantJust a follow up here. I contacted Mike about this issue trying to find out if any of the images came from external sites that we didn’t have permission for. I wasn’t very clear when I sent the e-mail though. Since they came from the ads site it isn’t a problem really at all. My concern was only that some of the images may have came from random websites, which would be bad news for us if we distribute those as our own. As it stands right now, the packets are just fine, no worries!
tn16ParticipantMike, please send me a copy as well to review on our end. If its different from the packets we have on hbads now, we could possibly post it.
tn16ParticipantUpdate
We have added the orginization chart and are considering revamping the menu altogether. You can see the new menu under both city and state owner sections.
The new link is under other links > Corporate Contacts
I’m thinking that in the majority of the operators only section, this nav menu will appear on each page. This would also replace all the buttons that you see when you log into operators only initially. What do you think? As you are the ones that will be using it more so than myself, suggestions are welcome!
tn16ParticipantI’ll look into it and let you know
tn16ParticipantDave,
Beyond the contact us page this doesn’t exist. It would have to be in the operators only area, but we can definitely look into this. I’ll see what I can think of and update you.
tn16ParticipantBaden, I was able to download magazine ad 527 and view the ad in Illustrator CS2. I will try and send you a copy to your e-mail saved as Illustrator 9 or something along those lines. Also, feel free to contact Jason with any questions regarding ads. His e-mail is grover@heavensbest.com.
tn16ParticipantBaden,
I’ve updated the cellular one data using a new resource I came across. Choose that same option again and press save to get the updated info in and let me know if it works. Also if you get some time feel free to call me and there are some tests we can do to track it down.
I also wanted to note that nextel has been updated and seems to be working properly now.
tn16ParticipantBaden,
Sounds like GCI must handle their own texts? It seems like a fairly small company, so I haven’t been able to dig anything up on my end. The best thing to do is call them and ask what address you would send an e-mail to if you wanted to e-mail yourself a text message. If you can get me that info, I should be able to get it working for you.
tn16ParticipantIf the company only has one SMS gateway, the type of service (GSM, TDMA, CDMA, ETC) shouldn’t make a difference. It looks like in the case of Dobson, they have a seperate gateway for Cellular One/Alex Wireless and another for just regular dobson customers. I will add both to the list, but the cellular one/alex wireless should work. Let me know if you run into any problems.
