    hey greg,
i looked through your landing page and noticed a few things. in general the page looks good. whoever created this for you did a good job. i like the video and the layout with logos and also the spot treatment guide for customers.

what i would seriously consider updating are the evaluation/customer comment cards. i noticed you are in california and some of the cards from customers are in different states. i like the concept and it makes a great effect for new customers; however, make them centralized to your current market. why would i care about a technician in maryland when my cleaning is done in california? i want what you offer, not somewhere else.

just a thought! good luck with business and keep building your enterprise! i’m sure it will be worth every penny!

i’ve been following the posts and wanted to offer something to everyone. this may work as a new customer added bonus incentive or a referral gift to customers. it’s a great gift and very inexpensive and only offered to businesses. this is not something an average consumer can buy. the minimum purchase order is 10 per order @ $3 per gift.

i’m incorporating this into my referral campaign and offering a 3 day 2 night vacation package. i’m offering these in an added bonus incentive for new customers along with customers that refer at least 3 jobs. again, it’s inexpensive ($3) for a 3 day 2 night package.

if you’re interested in incorportating this into your business please email me at heavens.best@comcast.net i can get you in touch with the company that offers these packages.

    happy holidays!

    greg,
thanks for the reply. point well taken!

do you have a copy of your ad in which you can attach to an email? if so, i would love to see it and possibly integrate that flyer into my business if you would not mind.

let me know when you have a moment.

i use craig’s list a lot to find deals. i’m afraid to post ads on this site because of other cheap ads quoting prices. i would be curious to know if a good ad like greg has is a better eye opener for customers vs. something in only text.

greg, did you try craig’s list without your ad? if so, did it work?

    some great ideas here!

greg, how is it going with your referral campaign?

for exposure purposes, what would be the best way to present this referral campaign to past customers? would it be better to call over the phone or send a letter explaining the referral campaign? i’m very interested and have lost a lot of sleep thinking about a referral campaign.

    i’m all ears!

    eric,
personally, i have used yodle and a company called local marketers and would not recomend any company outside of directly marketing/advertising with google. in the past year and half i have managed my own google campaign, hired a third party (yodle & local marketers) and now i’m back ready to manage my own campaign with google.

the positives of yodle is that they will record your calls so you can hear the conversation for mistakes and so forth. you can also see geographical maps; however, unless you have others answering the phones, it does not make you more money to hear yourself talk. it’s a sales thing that yodle presents to differentiate from other companies.

i would recommend taking the time to advertise on google adwords yourself. it does take time to understand it; however, once you have your ads completed, it’s minimal time required to manage. i know of several operators across the country using google adwords and they are more than willing to help you set it up. it does take some serious time so be ready. get familiar with it and if you have questions, you can let me know.

    good luck!

I am less than a year into the heaven’s best family so previous conversations about insurance has never been discussed with me.

Den, your question about insurance makes me wonder why we as owner/operaters cannot receive coverage through the corporate office. If this was offered for every operator I would think the premiums would be lower; however, the cost may be too high for corporate if this was offered.

Does anyone have more background or discussion in reference to previous topics of insurance provided from the corporate office? Please fill me in if you have more knowledge.

    Thank you,

    dan,
our fresh scent is a very powerful product. i’m not too familiar with what would be causing the odor other than the latex on the back side of the area rug.

remember that if you decide to use fresh scent for a new smell there is no need to use any deodorizer because this fresh scent will overpower any deodorizer. good luck and i hope this helps!

Where is the best place to find information about these home shows? Would the local chamber of commerce have this type of information?

    Hey guys,
I just cleaned for a Country Inn and Suites here in Atlanta, GA. I”m working with their management team on the hotel next door with the Ramada Inn. If there are chains that other hb operators are with, send them over to me so that I can have good points to discuss when trying to land their business.

Also, in reference to pricing, I was told most hotels do not pay more than $12 a room. Would that be a true or false statement? Please give me some feedback.

    thanks,

I’ve been hearing a lot about Google’s “click and pay” campaigns. You can go onto Google and set up an adword campaign for your business. You delegate the amount of money you are willing to pay per click onto your website. I’ve been hearing good responses on a good return for the investment.

As I say this, it has taken me a week to have 1/2 of the campaign completed. I am not live yet on Google because it’s taking me a long time to input my keywords for my area. I don’t want clicks from people in Florida when I’m in Georgia. It is very detailed; however, I”m excited about the presence of being on Google. The operation in Maryland and DC has had great results and they are the ones who pushed me towards that advertising option. I’ll keep you posted as we move forward!

    Tim,
Welcome to the design team. I already appreciate your help and support from the corporate office!

I believe it’s crucial in my territory, Atlanta, GA to have a website. This helps with advertising and also gives credibility to shoppers in a very competitive business. I’m tweaking my website daily to make it more personal with videos, customer feedback letters, along with automated voice conversations with my customers. This website was created with Yahoo Site Builder and in February I have three advertising pieces going out from the web with City Search, Super Pages and Google. All three of these click and pay campaigns require a website so that potential customers can see my business before they call me. Feel free to look at what I have so far! http://www.atlantacarpetcleaning.biz

I’m modeling my website directly from Jim Dickey and Barry Lowenthal in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. Jim has helped me a lot with site builder and posting my website! I’m very thankful for generous support from other operators! It is truly a blessing to have great people associated with this franchise! Their website is http://www.heavensbest.biz

    I hope this helps!

    Mike,
If you hear more information about this contractor, let me know. I’ve also been getting calls from Alert Retail Services. They take the responsiblitiy of the After Hours Formal Wear stores around Atlanta and I believe the country. They pay $300 without hesitations and if the price was to be more, then I would need to submit a bid within 48 hours from time of request to get an approval for the higher amount. Regardless, they will pay $300. It’s been easy cleaning. I’ve cleaned 3 stores in the last 2 months for them.

Let me know what you find out and if I need to contact this new company, I would be willing to do it.

    Thanks,
