Shane ForrestParticipant
Grant, would you mind sending me the email you sent to your real estate agents. I’ve sent out 50 or so as a test and pulled one email back so I just want to optimize what I’ve sent out with what you have and hopefully get some lifetime customers. thanks man email me at
justin
Shane ForrestParticipantWhat do you guys think about cold calling residential customers. Do you think our time would be better spent calling commercial or residential customers.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantThanks Dennis,
I just sent out 27 info packets to property managers in the area and will be calling them to check in next week. working my way through the phone book and will be sending out a lot more. Thanks for all your help, it saves alot of time and money sending info out than driving all over the damn place to go see them. I know that there is nothing better than shacking their hand and talking with them but we can get much more quantity this way. I’ll let you guys know how it works.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantDanbo,
Yeah it’s the Glimour Spray Doc, they have a few sizes the one gallon has been perfect for me.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantHey Danbo,
Yes, it sprays a fine mist and it makes it so much easier just having to pump 10 times and being ready to roll. I like not having to worry if my canister is going to run out of pressure half way through a 1000 sq ft job. and it only cost me 30 bucks.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantis that wishful thing Sutton
Thanks will look into it
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantSorry e-mail me at angel@heavensbestseattle.com and I’ll get it to you soon
Macy
Shane ForrestParticipantWe can e-mail you one if you want just let us know where you want it e-mailed to.
Macy
Shane ForrestParticipantHey Danbo,
Is it one of the white ones, if it is I’ve already had two of them break on me, so I went to my local hardware store and bought a nice gallon size sprayer with measurements on the side. It also has a wand so I don’t have to bend over as far, saving the back is good business.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantcorporate has yellow page ads for us to choose from now
Shane ForrestParticipantPlacement is key, the average person only looks at the first 5-6 ads. Placement is determined by seniority and size. so if you don’t have seniority to need to go for size to put yourself past the people in front of you. you have a dollor bill size so if you went to a quarter page you would be in front of the dollor bills and if you went with a half page you would be in front of the quarter pages. I don’t know how much ads cast in your area but in seattle they can be pretty expensive.
We put a quarter page ad with white background in our phone providers book. I don’t have exact numbers on me now but in the month and a half that is’s been out we’ve probably pulled $1000 dollars. Now we’re brand new to seattle, no one knows our name, seeing as you’ve taken over the ad people already know your name so if you go bigger you’ll probably get a better return faster.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantThanks Dave for the advice, thats exactly what I needed to hear. It just really sucks telling someone you can’t do something and seeing the job disappear before your eyes, but with what you were explainging it’s probably better in the long run. I want to be able to do it all so I don’t lose a job but it seems much more wise to know when to say no.
Hey Gary. Things are going great, our first phone book ad came out last month and business is starting to pick up. How are things looking for you? If you want you can e-mail me at angel@heavensbestseattle.com and we can chat some more.
Justin
Shane ForrestParticipantWhat does LMCCA stand for.
Shane ForrestParticipantThanks Greg, I’m going to look into that
Shane ForrestParticipantHow big is your ad and where is it, 5 ads back, 10 ads back etc.
