We have both a Ninja and Up Mate…I looked into converting the 200 psi over to 500 a few years ago and was pretty pricey. Not sure if convertible to 1200 psi. May be doable, but I would guess not. But for this new 1200 psi machine, it looks like we will maybe be going into the HWE business, or at least have the ability to. Lot of money to part with for only tile and grout cleaning.

I totally agree. Can you share the costs and frequency of insertions and length? We may be opning the door into this area locally but I fear the initial costs are extremely high.

I think the frustration is rooted in a place like my shower…Every single morning, I shower and am alone mostly with the TV on high volume listening to Fox and Friends….and that da**ed SS commercial comes on. I fight like he** to not sing the song….and every once in a while I do…
I guess with the election, should start listening to MSNBC and get away from the SS ad……just joking.
It would be nice to have a national recognition….but being under the radar is cool as well.
Biting my tongue too long on this one…Bret started this with saying something about going to the next level, then mentioning SS? Then TV came into the mix…
We are the next level, aren’t we? We are bigger, higher ranked all over the place and do a much better job. Why are they advertising all over the place in the first place? They do bad work and charge a lot for it.
How many of us have SS past customers?
Are they, SS, making money…I am not so sure. Maybe they are…but at a 7% royalty, off the top? Before taxes….puts a hurt on one, real fast. Whether or not there is any real increase in business…7% would kill us.
Does everyone really want to grow to an average of 17 employees/unit as SS has? Not me. No way…too many headaches.
TV is much cheaper in less populous markets, and very very expensive in more populated areas. Small markets may be much better off using TV, than larger more expensive markets.
Before we should ever consider TV, we all should be doing all we can to maximize our marketing efforts in our specific area, share more ideas in the bulletin board from more than the 10- 25 regulars and think a little differently about the next level…
I wonder just how many SS operators are out there wishing they owned a HB franchise? I wonder how many Chem Dry owner operators out there who wish they were here as well?
In a terrible recession looming, near depression…however the election turns out…now is no time to think about how greener the grass may seem in SS/CD worlds….I am not so certain that it is.

Good advice. I got my kids IRAs the instant they got paychecks from an employer. They worked for a landscaper one summer in early teens, I put money from my pocket into their accounts…in their 20s now, they all have IRAs, though lower in value now, they have shares.
Never bought them a car though….#2 borrows mine and I will sell to her next year.
Never, ever buy your kid a car at any age…let them buy with their money… You have better odds at them not wrecking yours. And if you let them drive yours, you had better have a back up. Not my idea, but the insurance company knows the numbers and I concur from personal, parental knowledge.

Especially for the last couple of weeks with the robocalls.
We are continually deluged by both Dems and Reps. When they ask if you have made a decision and you say yes…Almost 100% of the time they ask if I am voting for Ralph Nader or Bob Barr….less than a week and this will end.

I am familiar with the technology. If I was going to build a new home all flooring would have underfloor heat with a solar hot water heater and boiler backup. Just didn’t think that there would have been that much up there…
If I had a terrible traffic issue, I would heat the solution and pre-spray/pre-spot then allow to sit and then clean as usual. One gets terrific results and still maintains the integrity of the system….cold work, hot works better.
