Ditto Ron…my wife and son were going to go and my wife bailed out immediately thinking it is too much. $360 more? (This was going to be a belated 25th Anniversary Celebration/combo from this past July, talk about timing and justification for a trip?)

Our son has been in his own van since March, 06 and full-time for 1 1/2 years..my wife (franchise owner) is wondering about the sensibility of him going as we had planned. We were planning on staying an additional couple of days and see the area a little. That plan just died a really quick death.

I have been to a number of meetings in our first 3 years and Cody knows and remembers what I did to attend my first in California… and there was no fee there, none in North Carolina and none in New Jersey last summer and none in Connecticut…I have done my fair share of attending meetings for additional learning and gaining knowledge.

With flying, parking fees, travel to the airport 1 1/2 hours each way in PA, turnpike fees both ways, hotel costs and all of this in our worst grossing month of the year!!!???? The lowest cash flow time period of the year? And all of this as we are trying to get our vans straightened out from botched jobs and bubbles and $2,400 invested…+++$$ for accessories???

My question is this for the corporate office. What is the owner’s agenda of the time there in LV and just exactly what am I/we going to learn that will benefit us? Besides a drawing for a van…

Is there anything going to be presented that I/we cannot learn from a video or other presentation by not spending a lot of $$$$$$$???? to be there in person???

It would be nice to meet many of the other operators and exchange ideas face to face….by my count not that many are active in the bulletin board but a lot of information is shared in a tempered manner in any event. I am personally interested in hearing the untempered information.

Just what is going to happen in LV that is worth a $1,500 – $2,000 expenditure in our worst time period and midweek to boot? Each and every other meeting had been connected to a weekend…this would be a very expensive educational experience.

I would appreciate a response as soon as possible from corporate, since at this time we may bail out completely. I was going to book our 3 flights this weekend, however, that is going to wait until I hear from you to see what will be more cost efficient: 1) for Dan and me to come or 2) just me and have Dan hold the fort with working, or 3) no one attend.

If this information has already been shared, pointing me to it would be much appreciated.

Excalibur had the audacity to already hit our charge card at the time we made reservations for the room…Most hotels hit the card if I fail to show…. not 7 months in advance.

Thanks, in advance, for your response…

I am going out to buy a couple of gallons of distilled water for each of our vans.

I dump in toilet before leaving customers home and if possible rinse with 101 out of the sprayer…No more odor! No heavy lifting of Ninja or HB knockoff into van.

I would never put bleach into the Ninja…I had my pump leak early on, onto carpeting and I was able to clean with no problem…if it had been bleach..oops!!!

Also, bleach is very corrosive. We also use Lysol if we forget to wash out or cannot at the time of service.

With bleach, it only takes one pesky little droplet to make life miserable. We would never use…

I believe ours hits the streets in January for all three books, 2 YB and 1 Verizon. Good to hear preliminary news. Hope the ads look as good when printed in the books as the proofs.

When I am in the market for anything…especially services, I always have gone to the Yellow Pages/Book…first.

Where do all of you go when you are looking for a service? The newspaper? ValPak? just wait for a flyer to come in the mail? The PennySaver?

My only concern is this…in our new ad with logo, I cannot say more do the restrictions…I am hopeful that saying less says more. If that makes any sense to anyone. Our current ad has worked like a charm. Oh well, hope this works better than the signage installation on our vans.

The exact same problem I have. I am told that they can fix the bubbles in the creases…We shall see. At least mine was done at their shop…in the alley beside the shop.

Van looks great…only complaint about the job is the patchwork with small pieces used to cover up rips/tears, and bubbles where there are lins on the vehicle that were not filled in and adhered properly…they will eventually break.

It does have the WOW factor though. Great job Cody in accepting this design.

Great advice Dave…te solvent is NOT SAFE AT ALL!!!! In addition, I believe it might solubulize the adhesives holding the carpet together…Must remove extreme caution

    Ron,

I purchased a pressure washer to clean the fuzz, cat hair and dog and human hair off my red brush driver. Was that wrong?

Anyone else have a FORD E-150 that had the local guy from SAR remove the FORD logo to make room for the telephone number on the right hand side?

Well…I went to pick up my van and immediately was dumbfounded to see the company 800 number on it instead of ours…I had even discussed this with them when it was dropped off.

The FORD logo on the rear door was in the way and they removed it and scratched the paint in a few places and covered the remaining holes with white vinyl…dumb idea.

A few small wrinkles here and there and some bubbles here and there and a minor boo boo here and there, but otherwise…looks nice. I am not too keen on removal of body parts that may be a source of problems later…

I will send in pics to corporate after I get the telephone numbers reinstalled… tomorrow.

However, I called them today and Catalina gave me a tracking number for the second van…they have had a few glitches I think, but they seem good intentioned…Pick up my #1 van in an hour…I am anxious.
