ParticipantI think our experience has been that with a brand new customer, they cancel due to a lower price, and I thank God that they went with someone else…let them kick their tires. I don’t particularly care for the strict price shopper…in the end, they do get what they pay for.
A returning customer almost always reschedules immediately or really does call back when things have settled down a bit. I never bug people with calls unless they either ask for it or agree when I ask them if they want me to call them back later…
My last 2 cents on this topic.

Participantgreat tips Dave…thanks. I cannot believe bleach is good for anything on the Ninja or UM either. Might get some guidance from Cody on this….What do you recommend Cody? What is our best way to rinse the Ninja or UM?
Thanks,

ParticipantMike,
It might help to keep in mind just what your physical body is…as a believer.

Participantcould all of you that publish or print your newsletter post some copies here so all could see and possibly review for their own use and or send to me so I could use as a template?
Jon-Don has a newsletter program as well as Polish. It would seen to me that we could print our own…but finding the time to write, edit and print would be challenging.
If you could post these newsletters or postcards or whatever in here then it may give others some great ideas.
Thanks, Dave

ParticipantMike,
A little advice from a man who had a 25 year smoking habit, at the end 1 1/2 packs per day…It is not quit on a daily basis…one picks a day then QUITS!!!
Then it is a minute by minute, then hour by hour then week by week struggle, to stay off…no cheating and after a number of weeks, the desire finally slips away..it will resurrect itself once in a while…beat it and go on… and then finally, after some months…no urge at all…no desire and no regrets and it will be the very best bad habit you ever quit.
No hacking, no phlem no rotten odor no having to hide what you are doing or go outside…and save money!!!!!!!!!!! And, if you are in the market, since you are a younger guy, you can even get term life insurance really cheap after a couple of years of no cigs.
Trying to quit is not a trying thing…you must just stop!
I wish you the best…

ParticipantBill on next invoice??? What next invoice? I just got stood up today and I will not return period. Anyone that does not show up or return phone calls..they are done to me. Only had 3 or 4 in 3+ years…including the one today. I just remember their names and have a small list that I will not clean for again.
If they cancel with a day’s notoce, I can usually pull someone forward to fill the slot, if not, I usually try to take those minutes to do something productive. Sometimes I have been lucky enough for a new call to fill the slot and for more work…
I agree..it might be problematic to collect the fee and then piss them off as well…the real question is this… Do you want them for a customer? I would prefer good customers, not unreliable ones.

ParticipantGreg is 100% correct. There is an OSHA limit for ozone, but it, to my knowledge cannot cause cancer, but can cause respiratory distress in high concentrations…
At this moment, I have a machine running in a rental house to help eliminate the “dog” odor. If a home has drapes and drop ceilings and any wallpaper, odors stick to them very well…ozone removes or eliminates the odors. I have been using my machine very successfully to remove cat urine odor in a concrete basement floor and cigarette odors as well as other animal odors, like ferrets and birds.
I charge $35/24 hr period and making money as I do something else. I “soak” a house and let it fill with ozone permeating everything. Return, after a minumum or 2 days, sometimes 3-4, remove machine and open windows and let air out for 5-15 minutes…
By the way Gordon, if you have a concern about health hazards with chemicals…be very careful with the dry solvent. Being 75% trichloroethylene it is not a great chemical to use in anyone’s home at any time! OSHA and EPA and especially CalOSHA have studied it extensively and if used should be used sparingly and with all precautions. An EPA reference that might be helpful is : http://www.epa.gov/ttn/atw/hlthef/tri-ethy.html
Personally, I believe that anyone using it in anyone;s home where they are living, not empty, should have their head examined! The damage it can cause if spilled or leaked in any home could be terible for kids or animals or pregnant females…
From an ex-OSHA inspector (Industrial Hygienist)…left because I could not stand being a cop, but I do respect the science and data.

ParticipantI was just informed yesterday that I am going to have to wait till spring to have the front fender signage replaced due to the cold weather…they will try to remove the 1″ across bubbles down the sides next week… Unbelievable!

ParticipantJoe,
My guy said the exact same words.. Make sure that they have a garage to do the installation. The guy in Harrisburg and Lancaster do it outside and I think it is almost impossible to do it right…outside. A garage is needed and it will at least offer a better chance at a good installation.
Wish you the best.

ParticipantMike,

ParticipantMike,

ParticipantLancaster County, PA has it all geared for making the YB/YP guys money…
The Verizon Yellow book covers the major money areas of the county and there is a Northern and Southern County YB…3 books cover the county!!!
With 450,000 people, in the second or third richest county in PA, we have to be in all 3 or else. Pricey for 1/2 page ads in each, but our slots are #3 in Verizon and 3 or 4 in the other two… By following the new rules and limited bullet points laid out by Cody we are very anxious about the responses fom this next year…Our past ads looked like Ron’s bullet wise…not now!
We shall see the power of a young lady in the ad instead of my son and me.
No comments needed Gordon…

ParticipantI believe $150 per van. Ithought I would be avoiding potential problem by having them remove… Personally, I don’t believe these guys have a clue. How are bubbles going to disappear? The are caused by trapped air feet away from an edge.
pacheco
ParticipantWell…good question. I did not know when I took the graphics that they did not have a garage behind the building, then I had also paid for the installation in the package, and three I did afterward ask my other installer and they would not touch it…though, I am going to have SAR remove bubbles and replace the front panels as necessary. The thing that gets me is I paid them for the old vinyl removal because I had the thought that if I or smeone else had removed it and there was a problem they could point a finger to them or me saying I didn’t do something right. This way, the problem is all theirs.
After we get over this hurdle, we will never, ever use SAR again. If i have damage to the wrap, I will have someone else patch or reinstall…not SAR. They are costing me money…
