What I read was about cars but I would think they would have some of the same problems. Insurance is higher because the cost of repair is higher and so forth. What they showed was that over five years you wouldn’t make up the cost of the extra money for purchase.

Cody said he has been working on this but would not put out a method or product that wasn’t the best and he didn’t like anything out there at the time. This was during my training three years ago.

Like most of you I give away the small bottles and sell the large ones with free refills as long as they keep the bottle. I normally charge $20 for the large spotter bottles and also give them a spotter chart. I give the large ones away when I see an opportunity to advertise, ie. ,beautician, realtor etc.

I hated the dirt cup and have replaced mine with a full bag system. They come with reusable inner bags that work great and on carpets that are very bad I replace it with a disposable bag. I also have more expensive allergen filtration bags I can use when someone has allergies. It also seems that the I have more power with the full bag. I’ll never go back to the dirt cup.

I would like more input on the use of TGP. Just want to make sure there is no chance of damaging the carpet or backing.

I have used the upholstery mate on berber carpet and it always looks better when I do. I don’t like to because of the inconvenience, but it realy works better than buffing alone. I was amazed at how much dirt came when I extracted. I was kind of embarrassing.

Fast Acting enzyme has worked for me on all light colored carpets. I have been using it more and more. On one job with a very pickey customer, I had gone over an area five or six times and he kept telling me it looked dingy. I had tried a lot of pro spot and it didn’t work. Finally I tried FAE and I couldn’t believe how great the carpet looked when I was done.

I mix mine 4 oz 101 4 oz citrus boost and fill with water. If needed I will use a different mix. I too used the 1/3 because of training, but then I realized not all spots require such a heavy mix. So now I use a standard 4/4 mix and adjust as necessary.

OK, what is the official word on Pro-spot? Does it or does it not leave a residur? 🙄

I was wondering what you charge when you do so much work but can’t get the problem taken care of.
