When I give estimates I do as Tyler Said, but I put the invoice out about 60 days giving the customer an opurtunity to get a hold of me. On my ?Big Jobs Churches, Hotels, Ext. Ext, I break down the bid by areas and or rooms and put them on a exxcell spreadsheet with price, per area. I also put on that sheet that these prices are good when customer scheudles $X amount because these prices are based on valume discounts, and I keep a master folder in my pc for large jobs and include that breakdown with the estimate. my 2 cents woth, maybee I should keep my 2 cents that just made my net worth -.01.

I cleaned for some folks yesterday that just happend to be getting there bio-diesel system deliverd, I stuck around and watched the prosscess, I am now leaning towards a deisel van. They say you can make your fuel for about .70 a gallon, but I am thinking there not counting all the costs. ie: intial investment, picking up the waste oil, time. I still think it would make good fiscal sense, just shooting at the hip. when I get in the position to buy a new truck I will punch the numbers.
    just a thought for now.

I leave a small spotter and a bussiness card on the nicer rentels, and give a large spotter to my new clients, but if they don’t save the bottle for me to fill, then they will get charged, if they would like another.

The last hotel I bid, I did at .12, they vacume, I clean. On the bid sheet I broke it down by 1 floor halls, 2 floor halls, meeting rooms, the rooms they had were the same floor plan except for 4 of them (slightley smaller) I bid them at 18$ (.12) per sqaure ft. stair wells I went 18 & 30,
Red dye was done as needed at extra charges.
in the rooms I move the desk chairs
    that was the deal made

$1382 was the total They were very happy, so were we. 😀
    hope this helps

I had a big job on sat. The mechanics office was realy bad, coverd w/ grease, dirt, I sprayed the carpet W/ Dry solvent buffed, then sprayed pro-spotter then buffed doing a small section at a time, cleaned up really nice. I used 2/3 of a bottle but it propably would have taken me at least 2-3 times as long with out it.
Make sure you have addiquate ventalation when doing this.

I just started with HB, but when I am looking to hire some help I DO NOT look for an employee I am looking for someone who one day intends to do their own “thing” even if it is not in the feild I am needing, I have always found these people treat your business like their business,
just my nickles worth, good luck,
    Pat
