Hey Neil. What kind of carpet was that and what were the steps that you used. It’s a fairly drastic transformation if you ask me. Heck, I couldn’t even tell there was any green in the carpet by looking at the before pics. The colors really came out in the after photos. Well done. Was the customer as impressed with the outcome as I am?
hbtest9MemberI appreciate the feedback. I guess what you’re saying is that the most important thing is to do what I feel the most comfortable with. We do, after all, provide a full-service cleaning experience for our customer so I shouldn’t be as overly concerned as I am. It’s just that owning a business is new to me and charging customers is really new. It’s not bad it’s just different. I just don’t want to get into ‘nickel and diming’ my customers or short-changing myself by making my time more tedious than it has to be. Don’t get me wrong I’m in it to make top dollar because I truly believe that we demand of ourselves the utmost in customer satisfaction. My customers will expect nothing short of the best and I fully intend to be well compensated for it. I guess the main thing is it doesn’t really matter how I price as long as it’s done straightforward with no surprises. None of that really matters if I don’t set the proper expectations from the start and that begins with the phone call. Properly prescreening every customer is the key. I think that is what you’re saying and I see the logic in it. Thanks. I guess I’ll just have to see.
hbtest9MemberIt’s good talking with you Neil. I don’t know why somebody wouldn’t check out the board and ask some questions. I know that if they have even half the questions that I do they could surely benefit from reading most of the posts and asking their specific questions. Thanks again for all of the great advice.

hbtest9MemberI didn’t think about that Ron. Point taken. As simple as carpet cleaning should be I’ve somehow managed to over complicate the process. I’m going to conquer this Napper trepidation if it’s the last thing that I do!

hbtest9MemberI really appreciate all of the feedback. Luckily for me I’m still just practicing with the Napper in my home and feeling fairly confident. Just need to get in as many reps as possible I guess. I’ve seen my fellow operator, Jim Wilson, use it like it was second nature to him and am attempting to get half as confident in it as he is. I guess I’ll just keep experimenting with all of the different plates and pads ’til I find my groove. Thanks for all of the advice as I’m sure I’ll never run out of questions! If you don’t believe me just ask John and Cody about just how much of a pest I can be 😉

hbtest9MemberThat definitely helps out. Thanks for the response. At least I’m not alone in the ‘carpet balls’ department. Being that you are a little newer than some of the others actually gives me even more confidence in the Napper. If you’re able to use it confidently and with great results then it must not be the intimidating tool that I’ve perceived it to be. Thanks and I look forward to picking your brain a lot more in the very near future! I know, you can hardly wait huh? 😉
