I sent out an email to every agent, all 1300. But what I did was 10 at a time in the BCC field so that they couldn’t see who else it was sent to. Sending it out one at a time takes to long but sending out too many at one time will cause it to be considered spam sometimes. So I sent out 130 emails to 10 agents each. It took a couple hours to gather them all and send off, but I did it on my laptop in the evening as I kicked back on the couch. If you use Microsoft Outlook it really makes life a lot easier than web-based email.

Email won’t give you a huge rate of return but it is free, so it has been an excellent rate of return in my opinion.

    😆

We would like to have something warmer than Iceburg, ID and also love tropical. We will go wherever, though.

Thanks again for a wonderful seminar! We feel it was a huge success!

Hi, Everyone! I have to get in there and get my own picture posted. This is Pat. I have one comment to make about gettting the packets out.
If we help our city owners feel a part of the growing process and reward them with incentives and praise, we will be able to place more packets out there.

Incentives could include a reward for placing 5 packets, the most packets or prospect response from the packet placements. The packets are beautiful and need to get out there. We are getting the word out with incentives. 😆

This is Pat Packer. Phil and I enjoyed the seminar, learned tons and felt an overall Heaven’s Best positive feeling. We were happy, though not all of our guys got to attend, the ones that did really benefitted.

We enjoyed getting to know others in the business, get new ideas and updates on what’s coming up, had a great time at different entertainment venues and…hey, the food was out of this world!

We hope this tradition continues as we felt it bonded the company in ways that couldn’t have happened otherwise. So, way to go Holly and corporate for all your hours. It scored a “10”! 😀

For me, April would be lots better than March for a S. O.’s meeting. Rexburg would be great and so convenient for the 10 S. O. ‘s living in this vicinity, but Salt Lake would be easier and cheaper to fly into, for those who don’t live near here.

I’m still thinking “population of areas left to sell” as a criteria for contributing to the Advertising Coop. We really need to get this figured out, so it’s equitable for everyone, and then decide what we want to do with the money.

I would also appreciate an email when leads for Arizona come into corporate, so I can follow up on them. Would appreciate receiving the names, addresses and email addresses of the 23 leads that didn’t respond to the packet that was sent to them, a.s.a.p. The “colder” they get, the less likely a follow-up will do any good.

I appreciate all the great ideas that have been posted since my last visit!
    Have a great day!

yeah, I’ve wondered if half off was necessary but it sure has gotten me a lot of business. But I’m only 7 month in and needed to stay a little busier. It seems to be working great though, I’m sure I won’t be doing this ever again.

Wow lots of action on the board since the 6th. That’s Great! Here are my replies to what’s been said:

    1. I like “Advertising Fund” rather than “Internet Advertising”. I’m O. K. with the $200.00 for now. I appreciated Ron’s comment about “moving on”. I’ve spent far too much time and energy thinkng about multiple State Owners not paying mulitpe $200.00 fees and Iwas really blown away to find out that some State Owners aren’t paying at all. I’m all for moving on and keeping the tremendous momentum going that we have now–“for the greater good”. I would like to see our dues based on the population of the areas we have left to sell, rather than on state ownership. I would be willing to contribute $300.00 a month if we could come up with a plan that’s equitable for all of us. I would vote for paying $500.00 for every sale that occurs from leads generated by our advertising fund, instead of having it increase every time we make a sale.

    2. I loved the idea of a power-point presentation for the shows Ron is talking about. It’s so crucial for us to keep our professional image now that we’ve got one. Corporate has a full-time graphics designer now, maybe he could put something together that all of us could use–just a thought. I’d be willing to help in any way I can if we decide to put one together ourselves.

    3. Arizona supposedly had 23 leads from the internet advertising–I heard about 13 of them in th June newsletter and about the total number at the seminar. None of them showed interest after they received packets from Corporate. I didn’t sell anything in my state last year. Print ads were a “bomb” for me. I’m working on a new ad with the new logo in it and will let you know if I have any success with it.

    4. I’m in favor of “ad words” and would like to see some of our co-op advertising money spent there. I thought Gordon’s presentation was great. I’d also like to see some of our money spent to hire someone to work on getting Heaven’s Best in the top five everytime someone types in “home business” or “home based business”. I know it can be done but it is very time consuming. Ron Hollingsworth used to do it for a living and said he would do it for “free” if he had the time but he doesn’t. Maybe there’s someone else out there who we could hire who’d do it for a nominal fee. It would benefit all of us.

    5. I would be in favor of another State Owner’s meeting but not in March. I’d rather spend the money on adertising that it would cost to attend another meeting right away. I think we can still keep the momentum going and exchange valuable ideas if everyone uses the board. Two or three days is a must for the next State Owner’s meeting–maybe one day for Corporate to present and two days for us to brain storm.

    6. I spoke with Cody on Wednesday about getting a State Owner’s list to all of us with names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. He could see the value of it so I think it’s a “done deal”.

Thanks to all of you for the valuable input! It was great seeing all of you at the Seminar. Looking forward to hearing lots more from all of you.

I LOVED the seminar. Congratulations Holly! No one would ever have guessed it was the first time you planned an international seminar. You’re a real pro! I’ve been to seminars with four times the number of people in attendance that didn’t hold a candle to this one. The information shared, the prizes offered and the energy level of those in attendance was wonderful.

Thanks Cody for your incredible generosity, your leadership, and all you shared with us at the seminar. Thanks to everyone else who participated, either formally or informally, too! All presentaitons were well worth our time and the ideas shared in casual conversation were invaluable too.

I also love our new professional looking image. The new uniforms really set us apart from others in our field. I’m proud to be a part of this great Heaven’s Best family!

not sure yet, but there is no cost from capital cleaning. My insurance company will be contacting me regarding that. I am sure that each insurer handles this issue a little differently….

Just as a heads up. The insurance requirements for Capital Contractors require that you list them as an additional insured, which may cost you extra for your insurance policy. However, the potential gain is much more valuable. Don’t let that requirement stop you from partering with this organization.

    You are the MAN!

Thanks, I called just a bit ago. I do expect that we will be able to work with this company. This is exactly what the power of leverage can do. We have it, and we have the reputation. We really need to capitalize off of this. In my opinion there is no excuse for most of our franchisees to be suffering. If we pool our business resources, I am confident that we will have enough jobs to do relatively well.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been getting much response on this from other franchisees. I don’t get it.

    Hey Bro,

All is very well. I have a Best Western nailed down, and I am going for all of the Best Western’s straight down I-75 within my areas. I am also hitting Hampton’s too. Both have rigid requirements to be cleaned on a frequent basis.

I am also working on a few golf resort communities. This will be significant.

Good to hear from you. I look forward to getting your list.

It was great seeing everyone at the Seminar. The meetings really were fantastic!

We came home to below zero tempratures too, so I’m also voting for “warmth” for the next Seminar. I liked your suggestions Bryan and Vicki, with the exception of the cruise–I’m not too fond of water! I’d like to add Scottsdale, AZ to the list of possibilities.

It’s almost 40 degrees today, yippee! We’ll send a little of our heat wave up North, but if it’s o. k. with you, we’ll enjoy it for a few more days first.! Hope it warms up for you soon.
