I have to say that I agree. For A small company he has a better website. Things might not be perfect, but it sure is better than cry in one hour!
I really dont put that much weight in to our websight anyway. My buisness comes from local advertising not a website.

You said waxing in the topic and sealing in your message. What do they want the floor sealed or waxed. The only time that I have heard of sealing the floor is when we do pet damage that is down to the subfloor. If this is the case it is just a matter of a long handle, paint roller, and kilz primer. Very easy… If it has to do with waxing sorry can’t help.

We get it you dont like the patch. There is eighteen months before you have to worry about a patch. In this time alot could happen. I am going to chose to wait it out some and see what happens. Lets look at how the guys like the new shirts in six months from now. At that time start polling on what we would like to see available. Talk to Cody and see what we can work out. Things are going to change, but I am sure we will have a voice in the direction once the dust settles and we see what is working and what is not.

I could not agree more. I take a lot of pride in being able to offer great service. With that I have a long list of services to offer. This is what makes our franchise stand out in our area. We are in a large area with over a hundred large C.C. and mom and pop companies around. Every little edge in the market helps. We also make a lot of money doing repairs, streching, ozone, therm fog, j-bars,wax, spot dye,and water damage. I am certified and highly recomend anyone who does offer extended services get trained and certified (IICRC). I do not feel that me offering this to my customers is hurting any other franchise. The very very small amount of people that move to another teritory is a fraction of a percent of overall customers. Their bigger worry would mostly be price differences between franchises.

As far as subways go I think they are great. Just yesterday I had a Subway new baked meatball sandwich, filled my gas in my van, picked up some bottle water and gum for the road. It was a one stop shop and the owner sould be very happy if he only knew I was only stopping for something to drink. By the time I paid the bill I was just shy of breaking a hundred dollars.

True story not every subway is the same everywhere. This one happened to be part of a gas station.

Dave it sounds like this is a great concern for you as well as some others. I suggest talking to some of the guys around town who have sign wrap vans to get there opinions. If you look I bet you will see someone on the road today. This style is becoming the norm for companies. If there are no accidents the new logos should stay on for a long time and look great. Companies have been using this technology for a long time. I would hope and expect that sign a rama has a solid warranty with there services in the case of delamination.

In my conversation with the local ownerlast week of a sign a rama franchise he was actually surprised and concerned at the cost (might be to low, or high). I was not clear at what exactly the scope of work was so it was hard to explain in their lingo. All I said is that it was a wrap. I found out that that does not sound like what it realy is, but rather large printed decals. He said that the only way to give me a bid was to bring the van and pictures of the layout. He was not to thrilled to find out that his corprate made a national deal with pricing either. He did say that volume could make it difference. My point was and still is that I think I can negotiate better terms locally rather than going through corperate.

I am not saying that I think mco inc is price gouging us, only that things need to be explained in more deal because it does raise a lot of concerns.

I am sorry for being sceptic, but why is it so important to go through mco inc. on this. Could you explain in more detail. I would like to think that with the large buying power of our franchise we are getting the best deal out there past on to the city owners. Seeing that we are talking 100s-1000 vehicles. I have three and want to make sure that we are not over spending. If sign-o-rama is a franchise then they are also individule owners , who might make deals on multi vehicle jobs. In the surrounding 100 miles there has to be more than 15 heavens best vans. I am willing to bet that I could get the price down if we work locally together with wulti van deals.
I am sorry but I did call my local sign-a-rama dealer before you told us not to and talked to the owner. I was told that it could make a difference in price.
If it is there layout then it should not need approval it has already been approved by corperata as our new look.

mike it sounds like you are talking about patching the carpet. If so I would charge between $100-140 depending onthe circumstance. Do they have a extra piece or are you having to cut it from the closet and then reinstall the closet piece. Is it in the middle, corner, or near an edge. A two or three sided patch is much easier than one in the middle. For a path that size I would use a seaming iron. A regular steam iron will work with a very damp towel set on high steam, but will take longer.

    Good luck Greg Miller

I hope I can help a few out there with urine jobs. The moisture probe is not a good tool for urine. Yes it does work, but tou have a lot of variables to deal with. Most obvious is hitting every inch of the carpet. How fresh are the batteries. What has the humidity been lattly. Go to OSH and buy a black light thay also sell a shop light that is made by craftsman that will last a long time. Replace the bulb with a black light . Urine will show up a greenish color under any black light. I use a white chalk to outline the urine so that I Know exactly where and how much to estimate. I charge $10.00 a sq ft.
The vinigar will work some but should be flushed out. the reason is that it has a low ph(acid) which will break down the urine crystals and help in cleaning. A good acid rinse will do the same. The enzyme will eat the urine and shold be flushed out also. If the urine is down int the pad a water claw will help flush the pad, but sometimes it just needs to be replaced. Last of all Ron lives in Arizona where the humidity is low, the urine cryslals will absorbe moisture in the air and cause it to release amonnia gases. That is why the moisture meter goes off on urine. Good luck.

Ron the bbc pads are 19 inches. this is why they don’t fit on the dirt napper. 19 inches does make it easier to get under things and in corners because it hangs off the disc.
