Texas is a friendly, and welcoming state with plenty of open territory.
Don’t worry about INS. In this state, they only consentrate on illegals from the south, unless your from California.

Sorry to hear about the power lines. Iowa should gives some thought to running a pipeline from the valley. I’m sure Mike would be happy to get rid of some of that heat.

Central Texas was a beautiful 77 degrees today. I took the day off and mowed the yard.

    Mike,
Do you see what I mean?
I just knew one of the Brians would say something….

Oh, Hi Brian… What’s the weather like up there?

    Mike,
You shouldn’t say that it is cold down here.
Your begging people like Bryan Ferris to say something….

Mike I agree, I would like to see the HB scheduler intergrated with Qkbks.
However the last discussion was that it would not be cost effective.
I like my HB scheduler, and until I can resolve the problem of restoring the book keepers copy, I will keep using the HB program.

One advantage to switching is that the printed schedule in MicroRich Outlook is the same as the old HB program. (Might have been just a wee bit before your time Mike.)

It would be nice if HB gave us a few options for winter wear.
My wind-breaker with the old logo just doesn’t feel right anymore.

It would be nice to see a picture for:
    Wind-breakers
    Rain Coats
    Light Winter Jackets
    Medium & Heavy Winter Jackets

Not that I need the latter in Texas…

Switching to s/ft. You may find that your spending a lot of gas dollars bidding for jobs that don’t except.
Also, your creating a hassle for propective clients. They have to pull out a tape measure to figure out what your going to charge them.

I’m priced by the room. And I don’t charge to clean the closet or the first hall. By the way, I’m 3 rooms $100.00

This is a fast paced world. People want the bottom line answer.

I have been looking at the option of using Quickbooks and Customer Manager. However, I am not a bookkeeper. So instead of downloading a copy of my Quickbooks for the bookkeeper to work on, I would have to pay her higher dollar charge to come to my location and do the end of year returns. That way I can continue working from my programs.

The problems is that you can not copy the books for the accountant to work on, and then restore that back into your program up to a certain date. When it restores, it restores the whole thing.

The only option is to create a “new company” in Quickbooks each year.
Then the accountant can work on the old company while you work from your new company.

    Way to go Grant.
I’ve been in 7 years now, and I work for about 40% of the agents in my area. They have made a huge difference for me over the years.

In case your wondering: Any clients that they reffer to me get one room free. I don’t tell them that it’s one room free. I tell them that they are getting “Realtors Pricing”.

    Hi Richard,
They kept the business cards from the drawing and will use them to make a list of the attendees for the 101.

    Mike,
I have the wireless Way System up here. I bought mine out right for about $1000. I have been happy with it. The monthly fees on it average about $56. I store and carry it in a fanny pack type of camara case to keep it protected and out of site from prying eyes.
If your looking to save money then I would only except Visa and Mastercard. The other 2 charge an additional fee each time you except them. If you have more questions just send me an email.

Just like the NATIONAL, I have never been to a REGIONAL meeting where Cody didn’t pay us to be there.
Cody gave all attendees 2 gallons of 101. Everyone of us can make at least $3000 dollars with this. With or without the educational experience, I am going to make more money off the 101 than I paid for the trip.

Those that didn’t attend missed a HUGE opportunity.
Corporate gave out over $40,000 dollars worth products and equipment.

I’m sure that I will see you at the next one.
